Sounds like i live in the middle of nowhere with no CD store. My brother's already bought it online for me, but I'd like to have some mp3s till it gets here, thanks.

This is copyrighted music. Doesn't matter if it's already been purchased once. If you copy it without permission the damage is done. Now it's available on the internet for anyone to copy.

Well, I guess the crime has already been committed if we have to wait for a mod to delete this.

You've just witnessed the biggest reason why Carrie's Carnival Ride hasn't sold as well as CFers had expected. This doesn't just affect big record companies it hurts the artists as well.

I know, but these mp3s are ripped directly from myspace at only 96 kbps. That is not optimal quality. CD's are 128 kbps.. if I had ripped a CD and posted the files here I would feel differently, but those mp3s are available for free. Anybody who knows how to get them on the internet can already. And as a side note, piracy is universal and the damage can't really be emphasized in Carrie's case.

Every artist out there has experienced a loss in sales because of activity like this. If Lady Antebellum wanted us to have these they would have made them downloadable.

Oh god.. I'm sorry. I didn't think it'd be such a big bloody deal. I figured, oh well I'm excited for this cd. I'd love to listen to what I can now. They're on their myspace anyways for people to listen to. But I can't listen cause of my dial-up. I'm sure L.A. would rather have someone rip a song of theirs, realize they love them, and go buy their cd.

Didn't realize this was so wrong.

& I dont even live in the U.S. where it would impact them. Oh wait, I'm sure they realllly care about Canadian sales. Oh, but wait, I've already bought it.

Sorry but the qualtiy of the mp3 is not the issue. This type of thiung is taking money directly out of the pockets of the artists. And, the univerasality of the practice is being locked down on. People who are doing this are facing court appearances & are getting fined big $$$. Regardless of how harmless you think it is, it is still theft.
