Fox Adds Japanese Game 'Hole In The Wall', ABC Renews 'Wipeout'
I hope this doesnt become a trend
With new episodes of their staples set to return next month, Fox and ABC are still shuffling their lineups.
Fox has announced it has added Japanese game show 'Hole in the Wall', which will run starting on Thursdays next month. This is the same hilariously crazy show we featured more than a year ago, where contestants tried to fit into shapes on a wall speeding towards them -- a human form of the popular game Tetris. If you missed the video earlier, make sure to check it out here.
'Hole' will premiere on September 11, and air in the time slot originally reserved for 'Moment of Truth'. It will go opposite CBS' 'Survivor', ABC's 'Ugly Betty' and NBC's 'My Name Is Earl'. 'Moment' will now be pushed back to midseason.
The success of 'Wipeout' no doubt played a part in convincing Fox to take a gamble on the Japanese game show. And speaking of the ABC show, the network has announced it's renewed the obstacle reality show for a second season which will air next summer.
ABC is holding back the show for the summer, rather than air another season right away, because it finally gives them an established summer show.
