Anyone who watches Greek might have caught a preview for this. I can't wait to see it!! It's called The Secret Life of the American Teenager and will be premiering on ABC Family on July 1st.
It's the story of a pregnant high schooler and how her pregnancy affects her life, her friends, and her family. It also focuses on the lives of several other classmates of hers and their current dramas (abstinence, divorce, etc.) I think it will be pretty edgy plus the cast is pretty awesome (lots of up and coming hotties)!! Shailene Woodley plays the pregnant teenager (She was the Kaitlin at the very beginning of the OC that they ended up sending away to boarding school). Can't wait to see her as the sister in the spotlight this time!!
I recorded it last night and just watched it!!!! Ummm pretty lame show!!
They made it seem like all teenagers talk about and all that their lives revolve around is SEX! It was ridiculous!! Some of the conversations that happened in the halls at the school, I just kept thinking "My friends and I would laugh our BUTTS OFF if we ever heard that conversation actually taking place!" It was just so stereotypical and cheesy.
I'll probably keep watching though because there's no good tv on in the summer and I feel bad for the main girl and I want to see how things unfold!

The show last night was reeeaaaallllllly slllloooooowwwww. Plus, I was watching with my eleven year old little sister and it got pretty uncomfortable, lol.
I may continue watching it, I don't know. But it's definitely not as good of a show as I thought it would be. I was thinking more along the lines of Juno or something.
As always I like what everyone else hates. I thought it was pretty good. I do agree though that they make it seem as if sex is the main topic of every conversation we have.
I watch the show and it's alright except that everything is about sex. I'm becoming a bigger fan as the show goes on. I'm gonna watch the 3rd episode now
You'll have to let me know what you think! I have to say, I was a little hesitant during the first two, but I think it has really picked up in this third episode. I like that they showed a little bit more about her parents and sister. I'm really liking the sis a lot!
And if you like the boys, I just found a really cute Q&A with Ben. He seems so sweet, just like on the show! And I didn't see any spoilers to worry about : Ben Q&A
I actually do like this show. I will admit, it isnt as good as I thought it was going to be but it is still good. I think it is one of those shows that gets better as it goes on. I am definately going to continue watching it. The only character I really have a problem with on there is Ben. If they made him less 'oh i love amy' I would like it better. But I still REALLY like the show and I am definately going to continue watching it. Next week's episode looks really good. =]
