Married "American Idol" Contestants Dish About Their Spouses
Los Angeles, CA (CNS) - While the contestants on "American Idol" sing their hearts out each week and claim singing to be their first love, some of them have other things to love. More precisely, their spouses. Several of the contestants on season seven of "American Idol" are married, including Brooke White, Michael Johns and Carly Smithson.
White, known as the 'I've never seen an R-rated movie gal,' met her accountant husband four years ago at a church gathering. She says he is a left-brained guy and she is a right-brained gal. So together they make a whole brain.
Johns, the handsome singer with the Australian accent, eloped to Las Vegas with his wife in May. After "Idol," he plans on a proper family ceremony, hopefully someplace exotic like Hawaii.
Smithson, the lass with the Irish accent, is married to a heavily tattooed Thai and Brazilian jujitsu fighter. While her hubby is also a tattoo artist, and sports tattoos all across his face, Smithson says he isn't often in the audience because he gets beat up during his fights and doesn't want to appear on screen with cuts and bruises.
