Thread: Carrie's Band

When I first heard Play On I wondered if the band was gonna be OK with the extra background vocals and more use of the mandolin and dobro etc. They're adapting really well. Even Ed Eason is getting into the vocals for Undo It and he's entertaining to watch. I like the way they let Carrie be front-and-center during Temporary Home and Mama's Song. Jonathan is a "Wiz" on those keyboards and right behind Carrie on some of the critical parts of her ballads. Each one of the band members has an important role in at least a few of her songs now. Jamie's voice just blends so well with Carrie's.

Carrie's band is fantastic. I agree the arrangements are superior now that mark is doing them. They have added some very good musicians lately. I am use to the fiddle player these days but wasn't before. Jamie is really the best backup singer carrie has had. She had her hair down for one of the shows this week and I didn't recognise her. Her hair and Carrie's are almost identicle. lol.

Yes that is Jamie. I hope she is just on loan.

Jamie wasn't on the TV Special and I wondered why she wasn't - is there going to be a new back up singer?

Jamie was back up during the songs early on where the whole band was there. After that she was gone.

Jamie is wearing her hair down and I have to look twice to be sure it is her, .

I hope she isn't going through another back up singer again. Jamie is awesome and does great with Carrie.

Haha, yeah he's not bad .......... they're all kinda hot though (especially Mark <3 <3)

Ran into Jamie in Nashville where she confirmed she was just hanging out with her husband Brandon, who is also Danny's band manager. Since they will both be touring soon (Gokey is opening for Sugarland this summer), they were spending as much time together as possible! She is so sweet!
