    federer-murray final it is.

    Nadal to miss 4 weeks with the knee injury. i've always thought his punishing style of play was going to take a toll on his body. It makes federer's streak of 23 straight semi finals more impressive that he's able not to get an injury all these years

    May you always have
    enough happiness to keep you sweet;
    enough trials to keep you strong;
    enough success to keep you eager;
    enough faith to give you courage;
    and enough determination to make each day a good day!"

    Roger's numbers in majors are just incredible, as you mentioned the 23 straight grand slam semifinals and then add this will be his 18th out of 19th grand slam finals.

    His critics will say the "era" isn't that strong and his head to head against Nadal isn't good, but 23 straight grand slam semifinals speak for themselves.

    That "not a strong era" is nonsense in my book.

    Had it not been for Federer you're looking at Roddick as a player who would have at least 5 majors, Nadal has 6, Djokovic and Del Potro both have a major, Murray, Davydenko and several other players are also very capable of winning a major this year.

    The simple fact is, when Federer is on his game nobody can beat him...and not just in this era.
    turns out it's easy to see what's really on my mind

    i agree. others cant win majors because federer is taking most of the majors, there are none left for others to be "great"

    Even though it is a little harsh, I have to agree with you that Murray has a big head.

    What do you expect to happen in Britain? If you're playing against a Brit then the fans are always going to root for him...that's how it goes. It happens at the US open (both Williams sisters and Roddick), it happens at the French (Gasquet had ultimate support when he was coming through) and it used to happen in Australia when Hewitt was good.

    As for Murray,I have no issues with arrogance whatsoever. In fact, I believe athletes should be arrogant when doing their job...however, Andy Murray is the most boring c*nt to ever step on the court so I hate him.

    yes i get it, they are proud of their country men & women.
    however i just dont like the fact that their matches are all they show on the BBC
    take today for example just highlights from the womens final are being shown & they will show the whole mens final just cos of Murray.
    all i'll say is thank God for Eurosport! at least they show a wide variety of matches!

    British Broadcasters always play British people though, it's the same with the football. You get foreign highlights here and there but what you see most is the Premiership and SPL. It's not just a British thing though, every country plays their sports/athletes more than foreign sports/athletes. (the mens final always get's shown though regardless of who's in it, it draws much bigger ratings than the womens final).

    Anyway, seing Serena win another major was great, hopefully Federer add's another to his collection.

    ^^ Haha, he didn't play that bad! I thought he could have won if he played as good as he did against Nadal. I was happy though that Federer won - he is absolutely amazing and a real nice guy too

    Edit: I see now just reading a little through these posts you don't really like Murray, so I can now understand why you're so happy lol!
    Thanks Michelle!!
