I think they, of course, are both awesome albums...however imo Some Hearts slightly beats out Carnival Ride...just because it's been around longer I guess (trying to justify my choice here, lol)

I love "Some Hearts" because it's her original album, but "Carnival Ride" has better songs IMO.

i LOVE SH as it was Carrie's first Album, and has amazing songs, but i think CR shows us how Carrie is as a fantastic song writer!

oh gosh. i can't even pick because i like both equally, however my fave carrie songs come off of some hearts(wasted && i ain't in checotah anymore  ). i do love the song flat on the floor though and others on carnival ride, but i do love all the songs on both albums.

i love both! but i chose CR, even though my absolute fave songs are on SH (JTTW, DFTRM, Wasted, BHC and TNB(LGO)) because although my fave songs were from SH, i didn't love SH as much as CR. i finish the cd, (CR) and i can play it again. as for SH, i play the cd, but the 2nd time around, i only listen to my faves.
but i adore both albums!

In my opinion, CR is better because you get to see her limitless singing capabilities. In SH, she didn't push her vocals as much as she did with CR. Don't get me wrong, SH has a TON of amazing songs, such as I Just Can't Live A Lie, Before He Cheats, Jesus Take The Wheel...hell, I love all the songs! It just didn't push the envelope as much as I Know You Won't did. That song alone, beats every song on SH. In SH's defense, I love all the songs on it, but on CR, I'm not too fond of Wheel Of The World and The More Boys I Meet. I'm not saying that they are bad songs, because I think they are good, but I just don't think they can compete with the rest of Carrie's library. If I based it solely on songs, SH would win hands down, but CR fully shows Carrie's talent and that's why I have to choose that

Overall I'd have to say Carnival Ride. Some Hearts is great but I think Carrie shows us more of herself on CR and the album is better because of that. But my favorite song ("Before He Cheats") is on SH.
