I'm not going to get into the good vs bad argument re: leaks. But if/when the album does leak, are we still going to have the rule not to post any links to any leaks on this site?

Because of course all of us are going to buy the album, but there are hundreds of "guests" who view this site every day, so I don't want to 'advertise' a leak at all.

Besides the fact, anyone who owns a COMPUTER can download or listen to her album for free even after it's released to stores. Like I said, non-Carrie fans aren't in as much of a rush to hear it as we are, so whether it leaks or not doesn't really matter to them. The point is, if they have even a passing or moderate interest in her music, they're going to download it ANYWAY, so what's the difference if they do it before the album is officially released or after?

Why else do you think record sales are so much lower these days? I mean, aside from economic reasons? Because no one really NEEDS to buy an album in order to hear it nowadays. Only the hardcore fans are buying them.

Sheesh. The people who want it to leak are probably fans and are going to buy it anyway. Those who find a site to download it would probably not have bought it anyway - they are more likely just to listen to the songs on youtube or heaven forbid borrow it from a friend or family member. The internet makes the world a lot smaller, but so what? Hearing songs first without paying for it (like on the radio or in a friend's car) might increase someone's desire to actually go buy it because they like what they hear.

It'll be out soon!! The longer you wait the better and more worthwhile the album will be so hold on for just 5-6 days.

yeah it's just a preorder. I'm so psyched, i live in the UK, and HMV posted my copy on monday!!!! i could actually have the cd tomorrowwwww!!! HMV do this regularly, they get the stock like a week before release, and if u preordered they despatch as soon as they get them. aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa BUT i shaln't be leaking anythin to youtube lol

Im very relieved that it didnt leak early! A leak is inevitable now that the hard copies are being shipped! When bad albums leak it hurts real bad when great albums leak it only helps to create even more buzzzzzzzzzz!!!! And the buzzzzzzzzzz quotient is about to explode!!!!!!!!!!

There's probably NO WAY that you could contact Carrie's people. Besides, there's probably nothing they could do about it. I may be wrong, but seriously. Us fans are just as excited for Play On. You really didn't have to bash us by saying we aren't true Carrie fans by wanting a leak. We're just anxious to hear the songs. That's all. What's wrong with being anxious these days?

If HMV are using a private courier service, you could get it tomorrow. But if they're using the Royal Mail, there's going to be a three day strike, starting tomorrow - which I'm afraid could disrupt all mail deliveries for some time.

I wish we could all get along like we used to in middle school. I wish I could bake a cake filled with rainbows and smiles and everyone would eat and be happy.

idk what middle school you went to but i haven't been able to get along with everyone since....first grade. and even then i hated the guy who is now one of my best, oldest friends because he was picked for line leader and i wasn't.
