OMFG im so exciteeeeeeeed!
i cant wait to hear it![]()
This is a quote from a fan club member who has access to a few of the new songs, and has heard "Cowboy Casanova". It was taken down off the Fanclub a few minutes later I think, by Carrie's team. Anyway, this is GREAT news if this is true. It sounds like Cowboy Casanova, is going to be a huge hit! I hope this is true as I fell in love with that song the second I heard the title!
Quote:
"Rumors have been swirling about "Cowboy Cassanova" perhaps being the first single. Since I'm one of the few fans who has the song, I thought I'd post a teaser review without giving too much away. And sorry, no sound clips without the permission of Carrie or the forum administrators.
"Cowboy Cassanova" was a song that instantly captured my attention, even before I heard it for the first time. The title itself is catchy and it makes you think both about the subject matter of the lyrics and even the tempo or type of music. But it was the moment I first popped it in my CD player when I thought to myself... this is gonna be a classic.
This song is clearly single material and I will be absolutely shocked if Carrie decides not to put it on the album. It's really that good. It is simply stated one of Carrie's best songs. It could do very well as the first single, but based on the timing of Carrie's release of "Before He Cheats" and "Last Name", I would venture to guess that this would make a perfect third single. You see, this song rocks just like both of those do.
"Cowboy Cassanova" opens with a very catchy drum loop nearly 10 seconds long. In this intro, you can practically feel the electric guitars being held back, almost like a racehorse behind a gate waiting to explode out with fury. The electric guitars get released the same time the male voices come in, even before we hear from Carrie. Then, just over 20 seconds into the song, Carrie arrives. "You better take it from me, that boy is like a disease", Carrie sings in the first line. And that gives you an idea of what this song is going to be about. Carrie is giving a warning to all girls out there regarding the bad guy in town. Carrie wants the girls to not fall into his traps, but to take her advice and stay away from him... even if they have to 'run for their lives.'
Incredible production of a very uptempo, nearly four minute song. I love every single aspect of this song, the verses, the chorus, the bridge, the guitar work. This is country-rock and there's no place for it to go but to No. 1.

Wow if thats true, this is fantastic. I never would have guessed it was a country-rock song. Really cant wait to hear it. I just hope it isnt too like Before He Cheats or Last Name, especially how LN is supposed to be the Carnival Ride version of BHC. And I dont really see Cowboy Casanova as a lead single anymore. Male voices? The intro sounds promising though.
Nearly 4 minutes? perfect. I was guessing around 3:45.
i like the sound of the production. super excited about the rocker sound. Not feeling the lyrics yet, they sound a bit cheesy. run for your lives? really?!
WHERE CAN I DOWNLOAD IT ?
it's so unfair that he/she gets to listen to new Carrie music while we sit here and rot!!
i really hope the lead single is uptempo and fresh, a bit of a departure from bhc and last name; more intense and rocker.
and i hope that mark bright doesnt take the production of this song too over the top so Carrie's vocals are not lost.
ps- funny this poster had the audacity to post this review. Wouldnt he have to sign a disclaimer before he listened to the song, not to disclose any details?
He didn't say those were actual lyrics
(run for your lives). I thought he was saying that to explain what the song was about.
Actually, I think the song sounds amazing! The first line sounds good.
I hope it is the lead single!!!
Everyone that has heard it so far, loves it! This is not the first review like this of this song. It is getting alot of hype!
not sure, but his post was removed from the FC within minutes I think. lol To me, that means there was some truth to what he said, anyway.
But I read a similar review by an intern that worked on the demos, I think? He said Cowboy Casanova was the standout track of the 7 songs he heard, and that it was sure to be a big hit.
Everyone that has heard it so far, loves it.
I actually hope and pray it is the lead single, as she needs to get away from the same formula of a lead single that is an inspirational ballad, and song 3 being the BHC/LN edgy song.
I think she needs to take a risk, and jump in with this song as the lead single.
You are right that the part wiith the male voices sounds interesting.
I can't wait!!!
oh god this thread is so going to get blown up later
CC sounds great!
OMG this review is SUCH A BIG TEASEEEEE... goddddd! loool i can not waitttttt..... i hope it's the 1st single.. and if it is.. we'll hear it very soon hopefully... cant wait!

Even if this review is right on the money, I have to look at these types of claims
Since I'm one of the few fans who has the song,
with just a bit of skepticism. I just can't get overly excited about someone claiming to know something that no one else does. And, I'd have to believe that it is one of the reasons the "review" was removed.
I can't wait!!!!
I'm so excited...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It definitely feels like a first single and the country rocker Carrie is awesome. Also love that line if it is in the song "you better take it from me, that boy is like a disease"! It sounds more hard core than the bubble gum cheesy lyrics of other female singers today not named Carrie Underwood!
It also sounds like this song could have great production value especially with Carrie and Mark Bright working together since they have such an amazing track record! Those two are like gold together!
We also get an upbeat song most want after a couple recent ballads to mix it up some! This could make for an awesome video to go along with the song. It looks like this will be the perfect first single and the original rumors were correct. Hopefully we'll find out word this Monday on a release date!
