    The Blindside

The true story of Michael Oher, a homeless African-American youngster from a broken home, taken in by the Touhys, a well-to-do white family who help him fulfill his potential. At the same time, Oher's presence in the Touhys' lives leads them to some insightful self-discoveries of their own. Living in his new environment, the teen faces a completely different set of challenges to overcome. As a football player and student, Oher works hard and, with the help of his coaches and adopted family, becomes an All-American offensive left tackle.

i can't wait to see this. i wanted to see it before they ever revealed who it was about. was surprise to find out it was about a player on one of my fave teams (Ravens).

just looks like a feel-good movie and we can all use a couple of those.

I cannot wait to see this movie and am watching him this year. I didn't recognize Tim McGraw as the father in the movie.

LOS ANGELES – The football-inspired drama "The Blind Side" has become the underdog hit of the season with a weekend box-office victory over "The Twilight Saga: New Moon."

The real-life tale "The Blind Side" took over the No. 1 spot with $20.4 million in its third weekend. The vampire romance "New Moon" finished second with $15.7 million after two weekends in first-place.

"The Blind Side" had been the No. 2 movie for the previous two weekends but has hung on with great fan buzz. The film stars Sandra Bullock as a woman whose family adopts homeless teen Michael Oher, now a rookie tackle for the Baltimore Ravens.

"New Moon" still is far ahead in total gross with $255.6 million domestically, compared to $129.3 million for "The Blind Side."

'Blind Side' eclipses 'New Moon' with $20M weekend - Yahoo! News

Wasn't a movie that I was too interested in but went with my family and I LOVED it! Not too much of a football fan so never heard of him until now. But the movie was really good. A movie everyone should go see!

I also think the movie is fantastic. Sandra Bullock's performance is superb. Tim McGraw was good; but, seriously, had a minor role. The story is heart warming, and it makes me wonder how many opportunities I might have missed to help someone reach a higher potential.

The movie is amazing! I watched it yesterday.
Sandra Bullock was brilliant!! I'm glad she is having good roles again. She has had two huge movies this year!! i hope this indicates things to come!!
I think she's nominated for a golden globe for this. I hope she wins!!

Saw this movie Christmas day, it was awesome. Great acting.
3/18/09 - All I can say about tonight is that for the first time I really want Carrie's music to continue progressing more to the traditional side of country music and I think it will. I don't care if it doesn't sell as well or all go #1, it's beautiful with Carrie's voice. Tonight I saw her as a Country legend for the first time.

that was a great interview, thanks for posting.

you know, i hear Julia Roberts turned down this role, and honestly, i think it worked out the best that she did. Bullock nailed it
