Yeah, I don't know if it was just for the sake of drama but this perceived "attitude" the two women have is not cool at all.
Simon had been referencing "D.O.A" for a while before that blak girl came out, so it seemed like the bias had been going on awhile already.
But with her it seemed particularly evident.
Again, I don't know if that was just for drama or weather it was real. But it sure felt real.
I could not understand how any of them L.A. included could not see that this girl had at least enough of a voice to move to the next round.
I didn't even like her all that much but it was obvious she could sing well enough to move on.
And L.A.'s comment about not being able to discern any singing ability in her without a backing-track was a joke.
What kind of professional musician are you than? You can't tell weather someone can sing or not without music behind them? What a stupid thing to say. ARe you gonna tell me you could not discern weather Carrie Underwood could sing or not when she sang the National Anthem in front of 100,000,000 people without music behind her??
Sometimes these judges make themselves sound like idiots.
And no, I don't particularly like Nicole. She has been a diva from the start. And a judge belting out a tune in the middle of someone elses audition is both selfish and rude. How egotistical are you?? Sit Down! And do your job. And stop judging these women as a threat.
Btw, I m probably the only one who though that the group of 4 women (that they turned down) seemed to have tighter harmonies than that group of black guys that they put through. Sorry but they were not even close to Boyz 2 Men.

^^ There are very few if any groups who could harmonzie better than Boyz II Men, those guys were just incredible.
I actually didn't mind the X-Factor last night. This episode I actually saw some talent that I was interested in. The duo that sang Colder Weather was really good...I wasn't expecting them to sing that song at all. I loved the guy that sang At Last, but I have a feeling, just as LA said, that his whole look was a bit planned, and that we are in for a surprise next time around. The guy that sang Sinatra with the hat wasn't bad either, and he has amazing presence. The Bieber girl seemed a bit polished for supposedly having little experience, yet I loved her take on the song...normally I can't stand to listen to "Baby", but she made it tolerable lol.
I was still annoyed by the judges for the most part. The whole Simon/Paula relationship annoys me, and always will. I don't miss these two on Idol, and I'm not sure I like seeing them together every week on X Factor. However, Paula seems much more coherent on X Factor than she was the last few season she was on Idol. I hope that continues, and she actually serves as a good mentor to these contestants. Nicole is one of the worst judges I've seen on a talent show...she did impress me with the Whitney song though lol.

Yep, some boy groups are just hype. But some are the real deal.
Last nights group was just not that good.
And what the heck was simon talking about when he said that America would be proud to have them represent us?
That was random. And, by the way, completely wrong.
I wouldn't want them representing me at a wedding, let alone, to the World.

About Nicole, I think you are right.
And I think the problem is that she is coming from such a place of "self" that she cannot possibly judge these people objectively.
Someone like LA or Simon always manage to judge unbiasly because they instictively know "I don't have to love the person as long as alot of other people love them".
PErfect example was Carrie. Simon has always made it clear how he feels about country music (and in fact I would bet that he dislikes it even more than he has hinted at), and yet he was easily able to see beyond himself and recognize Carries potencial.
That is an important factor in being a judge.
Nicole comes across to me as so narcosistic that she can not see something that is not a direct influence on her personally.

The difference being that Simon, like him or not, does come from a pretty impartical place. He is all "show me the money". Which i guess is what a talent scout is supposed to do and be. And you have to admit alot of the personna you see in him is for the camera. It's what everyone wants to see him do so he plays along.
Nicloe is en entirely different situation.
I suddenly realize I am ranting about her. But she is terribly ill-equipte for this show.
And so far you are right on the money about the rip-off. But it is not AI they are ripping off.
It's Americas Got Talent. And thats worse.

I only saw a little bit of this last night as I switch over to Criminal Minds at 9:00. I saw the couple singing Colder Weather and I thought they were really good. Why did they replace the other lady judge with Nicole? I liked the other judge a whole lot better.
I might have to watch this tonight.![]()

I am curious about the judge switching to.
It even seems like it switches again before the auditions are over.
I don't get it. Does anyone know whats up with that?
^I seriously just thought that Cheryl Cole was fired and that these would be the four principal judges from now on, then later they'll have mentors like they do on Idol.
I haven't watched an episode of The X Factor, but so far the antics I've heard about are botching my interest.
I keep hearing people complaining the judges have put a lot of contestants through who would've never made it on Idol.
Plus, Nicole Scherzinger is such an annoying narracist; I've don't even know who Cheryl Cole is, but from everything I've heard, she would've been a much better judge than Nicole.
Oh, Simon...I used to respect him for being honest, but from what I've heard, he's being a complete and total hypocrite when it comes to the talent on X Factor; I couldn't believe it when I heard he wasn't being honest, and letting people through that were not that talented.
Plus, he's being a completely ungrateful as*hole by bashing American Idol and taking digs at the contestants. Idol made him a household name; the general public would have no idea who he is if it wasn't for Idol.
He needs to learn some respect & keep his mouth closed, in my opinion.

Yes he is being much different.
And yes, there are singers going through that do not have a snowballs chance "you know where".
Oh well. WE shall see.
And congrats to your Flatts!!
They are a respected and appreciated addition to a long list of respected musicians who now go down in history.
Cheryl was fired, and there are conflicting reports as to why exactly. We will likely never the true reason.
Simon, Paula, Nicole, and LA are now the permanent judges, but they are also the mentors. Each judge gets a group of contestants to mentor for the season once the initial audition process is done. The mentor categories are Girls under 30, Boys under 30, Groups, and Contestants over 30. Each judge selects the best 3 (I think) from those categories in a boot camp type round, and then those select few move onto the live shows where America has their say. I believe the judges may have some help from celebrities with the mentoring at some point. Rihanna and Mariah Carey have been mentioned as possibly appearing on the show.
Someone correct me if any of that isn't quite right lol.

The most reported rumor of Cole being fired was because of her accent, someone with a lot of pull wanted her gone and that is exactly what happend, the show had already filmed the cities that she was shown in before she was dumped.
Simon is being Simon, that is who he is and always will be, he shouldn't take the shots at AI that he has but personally I really don't care what he thinks because I am not going to get overly obsessed with what he has to say about AI.
They have let people through who have no chance to get through the next round just like AI, AGT and SYTYCD does so that is no big deal either.
It is what it is.... I enjoy watching the show and think that they are finding some real talent.... I like how they let anyone on the show whether they have had a record deal or not.....I also like the fact that groups are allowed on the show.... Some incredibly talented people are very uncomfortable being on stage alone and love the group atmosphere.....Would there be a Lennon or McCartney without the BEATLES? And Simon is Simon... Hard to know witch is bigger his Ego or his mouth.... But he is a very good judge of talent..... He nailed the impact Carrie would have didnt he? And anytime he can mention AI and get people to make the comparison it gets them to watch the show right?
What's that old saying about blind squirrels & acorns?
He also hated Daughtry, pimped Fantasia mercelessly, & didn't have much faith in Kelly. And let's not forget that he was one of the judges that put through to the Top 12, Kevin Covais, Paris Bennet, Sanjaya, & that nut ball Tatiana as well as Norman Gentle. Cowell is all about Cowell & to many folks buy into the myth instead of looking at the facts.

Another TS commerical during the telecast.
I see one thing that is going to be very different from Idol.
