These are pet pictures that I have taken over the years. The first one is a picture that I submitted for a Professional Photographer's photo contest when I belonged to the Professional Photographers of America. They hung it in an exhibit in Washington D.C. and I got a full page in their magazine.
The last couple were for fun. I used to like to make phony magazine covers. Be sure to read the article info on the cover. The last is a artwork attempt on the computer - Illustrator that I tried.

I really like the first one. there's just something about cat eyes
Thanks for sharing Dan. Luv the Shih Tzu pic.'s. Hope they are doing well.
Nice work as always. Do you have 3 dogs or just the 2?
Love the pictures. So great to see a picture of a cat without glowing eyes. It is so hard to do! You are really good at this!
"Thank you for that ‘Captain Obvious’ sense of humor because you know what, we not only hit the high notes, you forgot to mention we generally hit the ‘right’ notes as well."-Kelly Clarkson to Scott Borchetta about American Idol artistsThanks so much Danielle!
What great pictures, love them all. The first one is my favorite, I had the same kind of cat, her fur was beige. We called her Cleo -- short for Cleocatra.
I love these pictures, Dan!!!
Pets have their own unique personalities, don't they?? And they definitely show in these pictures!
Thanks for sharing, Dan!!
i want this dog!
I love the Shih Tzus! The gold and white ones look like mine, except we had his long coat cut off last summer due to the heat in TN! All very nice!
Jeff - I got her to open her eyes wide: I laid on the ground - scraped my foot on the ground to make a rustling noise which got her attention - so she opened her eyes to see what was causing the noise.
Robin - I have 2 now. These pet pictures have been taken over time.
Kismet - Glowing eues usually come from shooting directly with a flash. The red eyes are the blood vessels in the eyes that come from a direct flash. I either don't use a flash or use an umbrella light which is indirect and only puts catch lights in the eyes, which you want (called life lights).
Thanks also to Glenn, Suellen, Cathie, Allirishgirl, and Gator.
