Alright, guys, I'm about to head out for the interview! Thank you all so much for the wonderful support, it has made this day a lot less scary!![]()
Be sure to tell us how it went. It is probably too late but good luck in the interview.
I'm back!
Well, that was a LOT less scary than I thought!
The lady was very kind and funny, and I really like her. It was just me and her, thank God, in a big room at a table.
She asked me questions like was I good with working with computer programs, working with people, being creative, etc.
I said yes, I'm very polite, great student and great attendance, going to school next fall, good with people, etc
She did ask what was my greatest weakness, and I said my lack of experience
A few strengths: that I'm polite, work hard, willing to learn, and I know almost everyone in that town since I've been there my whole life!
My throat got dry all of a sudden when I started talking!
it was not long, maybe 12 minutes tops, and I got there 10 minutes early.
She said she has had a lot of applicants and still some after me and that she has not made a decision yet. She was very funny and we laughed quite a bit during the interview.
I feel good about it. She said if I got it, I would train for 2 weeks first. It would be a 35 hour work week, every day, after I got out from school. Also during the summer too. And on saturdays.
But bottom line, I feel great about it, and even if I don't get it, that is okay too.
Just trying it out was my first experience. Now I can say i've done it!
Good for you. Crossing fingers since it seems like a job you want! She probably got 1000 applicants but you made the first cut.
Thank you for the update .
That sounds very good and positive. Fingers crossed.
Thanks for updating us!! Sounds like you did really well...very proud of you!! Keep us updated!!
hope u do get it, yea my first job interview i didnt get the job , remember thier's just other people that have more experiene, thier is nothing wrong with you, if u dont get it
I'm glad to hear that. The worst part is over & it sounds like you did a great job.![]()
Alright update: Still have not got a call..yet. but listen to this -- my cousin actually lives next door to the woman who interviewed me!! Coincidence, right? Anyway, she told my cousin that I was her favorite interview and she really liked me, so i feel good about it....BUT.....she said she is not the one making the decision. She has a board of people over her who will make it. But maybe she will put in a good word for me....
It sometime takes "forever" to hear anything. It was a good experience for you and if you have to have another you will do even better. The more interviews the better you are at it.
Robin is exactly right...practice makes perfect...so if you don't get it, no worries...keep interviewing!!!!
