Jennifer Nettles posted a 90-second clip of her upcoming solo debut single "That Girl." It really has a cool groove to it and has me even more excited to hear the rest of her album. The sound is soooooo different from what radio is playing. So, let's hope this gets some attention

Everyone who wants another female to get airtime, well here she is.
I am sooo excited for this! I think Jennifer has a distinctive sound and she knows the ropes in terms of business (she is on a radio tour which I am not sure a lot of other women do - besides Carrie). I hope she is the answer to having another woman on the radio!
WOOOOOOHOO love the sound of this!!
The pre-chorus kindda sounds like the pre-chorus of Holding out for a Hero XD
I am not a fan of her voice but do love her personality. I wish her the best of luck...
This is good!
She's rolling back the years - I can definitely hear echoes of her Soul Miner's Daughter days
I never listened to most of Jen's solo stuff, but this does sound like what I have heard. Wasn't too sure of what the song would be like, and I'm very impressed. Can't wait to hear the rest of the song and album!
Hmm. Not a fan of this, but it's very different and fun, which is something radio needs right now.
If Jen does end up breaking through with this solo project, I won't be surprised. She's got of the the best voices in country music, and she's the whole package.
And unlike most artists who release solo projects, she seems to have a ton of support from Sugarland fans, too. I wish her the best of luck, and I have a lot of respect for her for going out on a venture like this.
I love the groove of this. Jen is so talented, and it's nice to see that she isn't going to just release the standard fare that audiences expect. She is really testing the waters with something unique. Good for her.
I know we are all assuming they are going to market her to country because of Sugarland, but has that been made clear by JNett and her team? This kind of sounds like it might fit in at other formats.
I wish Jen much success with this project. I do hope she reunites with Kristian at some point, but I'll get my fix for now with their respective solo works (smiley).
Has Sugarland disbanded or are they just working on solo projects temporarily?
This sounds good. So different from all that other junk that the guys sing.
