Luke Bryan - Crash My Party Era

Windmills shared an audio stream for Luke's new single "That's My Kind of Night." This follows his multiple weeks at #1 with the album's title track. Album is out

His new song is a cliched heap of ****. It's so over-the-top that I can't even. What's happening to my favorite genre?!

    Listen here: MEDIABASE

If it won't play in your browser, try opening it with Media Windows Player or VLC (on a Mac)

Plus, Windmills has all the songwriting credits for the album: Windmills's Musical Musings ? Luke Bryan's 'Crash My Party' Album: Cuts & Cowrites

    OMG................what is going on??????????????

I can't even go into how contrived and rediculously pandering..........

It makes it a little sad to, only because i really kind of like Luke. I like his voice, I like his looks, I like his energy.
And you feel bad when a guy like this who has so much going for him will waste every advantage that he has on such trash. And yes, I am sorry, Trash.

You think of a young Garth Brooks or even a current Carrie Underwood, and you think of the different ideas and concepts they come up with to tackle in a song. its so varied and interesting.

Rodeos / Blown Away / Thuder Rolls / Just a Dream / The River / ............I could just go on and on and on......

But then a young guy like Luke with everything he has going for him, is going to stand at a mic and spew stupid crap like 'got my girl, and my truck tail gatein' get me a beer"............just shut the hell up. You sound like an idiot.

    Ok, I'm done.

I just get kind of mad when I see such success wasted this way, by I guy that I think could really offer something good to the genre. And this is how you choose to squander it.........

    Augh!!!

When I heard "Twitty and T-pine" I literally stopped it at that moment.

I had heard enough. The pandering and attempt to sound cool, current and old-school all at once was pathetic to me.

    I actually like it...a lot.

It's cheeky and fun and not too far from 'Country Girl Shake It For Me'.

in some awful way, I feel like people deserve to listen to it.

Almost like, this is what you have become!!!!!

I wasn't sure there could be a more sterile mundane song than Blakes one about going in the bar, and red necks or what the hell ever,,......and this comes and completely melts my mind!

^As windmills points out, all of this beer/truck/party/hot girls songs will come to a head...and the general public will start to get tired of it.

Uhg; I made it two minutes before I had to stop. Is this really the new way of setting your self apart from other artist?

I didn't really pay attention to the lyrics, but melodically, I like it and it will probably be another hit for him. He's on too great of a hot streak right now for this to flop. Plus radio loves songs like this. Maybe in time his songs along this theme will start to wear people out, like Rascal Flatt's overproduced ballads or Brad's novelty songs, but I don't think this song will be the one to start that distaste. My guess is a #1 hit and another platinum selling song.

Complete and utter garbage! If this is the kind of lyrics that country music is looking for then he and Blake are going to ride this horse til its dead. Drives me completely insane and I INSTANTANEOUSLY turn the channel!

I really have a hard time rapping my brain around sitting down to actually write a song and have these same very specific lyrics coming out without anyone saying "aren't those the same basic lyrics to too many other songs?

Like, is there no desire to be original at all???

Are you so limited in your creativity that you cannot feel yourself coping something else?

    Its just weird to me.

I guess I'll ride alone and say I like this song X)

not all songs need to be lyrically profound.....nothin' wrong with a fun song every now and again (i.e. Leave Love Alone)

Hopefully all of those type of songs and the female artist version of that type of song with their woman done wrong song will go away too.

^A fun song every now and then? How about 99% of all male songs on the radio right now... -__-

And not everything has to be about beer/truck/girls/party either...

The songs is fine it's just your typical summer type of song that will play well over the radio and isn't meant to be a classic single.
