liz278 and I got into a discussion off thread about our favorite CC singers and bands. I thought we should have a thread just for this discussion.
Here are a few of mine in no real order - a lot of these are bit older, the current CC is rather bland -though I'd love recommendations.
Third Day
Jars of Clay
Caedmon's Call
Audio Adrenaline
Skillet
Switchfoot
Newsboys
Steven Curtis Chapman
Michael W. Smith
Micheal Card
Jennifer Knapp
Flyleaf
Reliant K
Out of the Gray
Red
Rebecca St. James
Six Pence None the Richer
Some really old stuff
2nd Chapter of Acts
Randy Stonehill
Amy Grant - earlier work
Petra
Keith Green
This is just a list - Hopefully we cannot only make lists but also discuss the artists and their work.![]()
Even though my stance on religion is shaky and questionable, I love Christian songs lol. Flyleaf's probably my favorite. I also like BarlowGirl and sometimes Relient K.
Funny you should mention Six Pence None the Richer. My friend and I were just discussing them!
My favorite band is NewsBoys. I also like Casting Crowns - their new song helps me every day when dealing with the people I deal with! My favorite artist has always been Michael W Smith. But I have really started liking Chris Tomlin - his songs do all start sounding the same but I love his heart. Others are Matt Redman, Matthew West (Forgiveness), Jason Grey (Remind Me Who I Am), and Amy Grant
My all time favorite christian band is Casting Crowns.
33 miles, 4Him, Aaron Shust, Addison Road, Audio A, BarlowGirl, Brandon Heath, Britt Nicole, Building 429, Casting Crowns, Chris Tomlin, FFH, Flyleaf, Francesca Battisteli, Group 1 crew, Hilsong, Jeremy Camp, Kutless, Matthew West ,Mercy Me, Newsboys, Newsong, Rebecca St. James, Seventh Day slumber, Sidewalk prophets, Skillet, Sonicflood, Starfield, Steven Curtis Chapman, Superchic, Switchfoot, Tenth Avenue North, Third day, Thousand foot krutch, Toby Mac and Underoath
Everyone should go look up Britt Nicole! She's really good and her songs and fun and upbeat and she's from my hometown and a childhood friend so if you looking for an uplifting song...look her up! Your worth my than Gold...kinda reminds me of All American Girl in a way
^^I've heard her on the radio and I do like the fun, upbeat songs she sings. Kinda cool that she is a childhood friend.
Yeah I know she's from my hometown in NC and we used to go to church together and she actuall has 2 albums before she got signed that she put out to her friends and family but her music now is awesome....but I've been wanting to go see her in concert but I havent yet but I might get to see her next month cause her cousin is getting married and I'm in invited to the wedding....but I just wanted to put her name out there cause obviously I want her to do well cause she deserves it
Third Day,Britt Nicole,Chris Tomlin,Michael W. Smith,Casting Crowns,Switchfoot...Just To Name A Few

I Have Alott Of Favorite Christian Bands And Singers!!!
Kate Hudson, aka Katy Perry, Queen of Jungle.
I hope some of you might like to support Francesca Battistelli. (She is the cousin of Ashley Monroe's backing singer, Sarah Zimmerman, whose songs have been sung by "Scarlet" on the TV show "Nashville").
Francesca, who has been Grammy nominated in a previous year for Contemporary Gospel, is making her debut at the Grand Ole Opry.
Here she is singing a Christmas song (The baby is hers)
The Contemporary Christian genre seems very different from Country Gospel - to my ears, it sounds almost indistinguishable from Pop (which is not a direction I feel at home in). However, after listening to other songs like Francesca's commercial recording, "Strangely Dim", I feel I have a better understanding of where Carrie and David Hodges were going musically with "See You Again"
^ How precious is that!!! Love her voice!!
^me to the first song of hers that I heard was free to be me
My favs are:
Michael W. Smith
Matthew West
Steven Curtis Chapman
Point of Grace
Chis Tomlin
Jeremy Camp
Third Day
Casting Crowns
Brandon Heath
Mandisa
Mercy Me
