There is not one song on this album that is gonna smash at country radio. but there are about 5 that could smash at pop. she's gonna be in a weird limbo this era.

See, this is confusing to me, as is countrys response to this pop album.
Why would so much of this update be Red-heavy if there are not songs from the album getting any "airplay".
I mean it's called Country Aircheck Weekly, so what relevance does Red have with country air play?
    None,
So what is taking country industry so long to figure out that Taylor Swift has moved on from them like an old boyfriend.
If they are not careful she will write a song about how they wouldn't leave her alone.

"I tried to break it off with you, but you would not let me Go..
I told you it was over but you thought I was refering to Joe.
I gave my new tunes to the pop world for keeps..
Now you still follow me around and you're giving me the Creeps!"

Country Industry Stalker, please leave me alone!
I found a world I'm happier in, so please put down the phone!
Country Industry Stalker, I'm over you like Jake..
Didn't you know all along my love for you was Fake!"

It's the PR and marketing that makes you think people are talking about it. Like the TV ads for movies - "LARGER than LIFE, the EPIC story of LOVE GONE WRONG, DON"T MISS THE MOVIE of the YEAR" then it turns out to be the worst movie of the year - when it comes to Taylor that's what it's all about - Her PR team taking advantage of young girls- "Shop at Walgreens to make your Taylor fantasy come true- they put her on pizza boxes of all things PIZZA boxes!!!! How embarrassing !!- the depths they are stooping to to sell her cds and it only means one thing- they wouldn't sell as well without it - and of course the music industry will buy into it because it's money for them. So let them have their Taylor jollys , to me, it's rather comical, it's annoying she has to rule country with her faux country music career but she has her own chart now.

this album has 15,000,000 dollars in promo. therefore, everyone's gonna talk about it and review it. however, when no songs have any impact on country radio, the cma's/acms will award people who have actual success on country radio. hence, the reason she's gonna be in a weird limbo. she may have popular songs on top 40 but I don't see any of them getting any awards attention. her pop songs are the equivalent or Kesha or Katy Perry except not as good.

I can't believe she is on Pizza boxes!!
    That is comical.
What happens that you find yourself on Pizza boxes.
I am pretty sure that for a legitimate artist, pizza boxes is not where you want to find yourself.
That is better than the "Blimp story of 2010", except that this story is real!
I want to see that box really bad. (but not enough to actually spend money)
There is something very deep and distrubing in me that wants to see Taylor Swifts face on a pizza box. I wish she were on the Pizza itself. I want to eat Taylors face. Ha ha ha OMG, this is so wrong!
That is like........I don't even have words for how diabolical that is.
It's like an idea that Wile E.Coyote would have to get to Roadrunner.
Oh well, this era is turning out funner than I thought it would.

Die Young >>>>> all the upbeat songs on Red.

I want Taylor to stick to ballads and midtempos, and for fast songs, something like Forever & Always or Our Song. It doesn't have to be WANEGBT, y'know?

I actually like Taylor but this album was really disappointing...only 4 or 5 songs I can even listen too compared to the last album I loved all 17 but 22 is definitely the best from this album if not her whole career! It's on repeat!

Ehh 22 may be catchy but it's no better than many of the other party/hookup songs on top 40.

Yeah, I think Taylor has better songs on Red than 22, and much better songs on her other albums. It's funny. I can literally write a list of Taylor songs I adore (and it's pretty long) and a list of Taylor songs that make me cringe (and it's about the same length) and categorize them that way. I don't think I can do that with any other artist.

Taylor is getting quite a bit of hate on the CMA page. Heh.

OH my goodness just watching GMA on my DVR and she sounded nothing short of awful this morning. And it was a pure pop show -- nothing country about it. Noticed she has some new backup dancers/singers (guess to help drown her out). But it was bad this morning!!!

Well, if I can't enjoy her music at least I'm getting entertained by her silly PR antics - take for instance the Target ad for RED - funniest commercial - here's this awkward funny looking girl - reminds me of Patty Duke when she played in the Miracle Worker and she was going around the yard wrapping herself in sheets on the clothesline - except Patty was playing a deaf mute...

Has she always had 4 backup singers? That's crazy.

I haven't seen that commercial, or any from RED. Thanks, DVR!

Although, I must say, I get flashbacks whenever I hear anything about the face on the pizza box PR gimmick (although I haven't seen that either). I immediately think of the term "pizza face" from middle/high school days, when some would call kids with severe acne "pizza face". Yeah, I know, I'm probably dating myself here! The things that trigger things in your brain...

Both these reviews portrayed Taylor as an artist who has grown up lol:

BBC - Music - Review of Taylor Swift - Red

With ‘Red,’ her new album, Taylor Swift grows up - Music - The Boston Globe

Her metacritic score is currently 76 (yesterday it was 77).

this was a simple video. But God, this song and video puts me to sleep. the whole "I do" phrase she uses over and over again is annoying..

    Teen girls are crazy.
Petunia Pan One meaning of Petunia is "haughtiness, resentment and anger" so I think that should fit the bill.
