A special treat for any early Dixie Chicks fans!

The lovely voice of Patty Mitchell (who was briefly a member of the group when they won "Best New Band" at Telluride)

Here's she's accompanied by a traditional Appalachian instrument, the Mountain Dulcimer

Thanks for posting, I'm not particularly knowledgeable about the Dixie Chicks early days, but she has a very nice voice! Why did she leave the band, if you happen to know? Laughing at the kids in the background too haha.

Patty describes herself as an "interim member" - she is from a family prominent in promoting Texas Bluegrass, and joined the Chicks temporarily to help them get started with bigger audiences (at first, Laura Lynch was very nervous of singing on festival stages; Patty alternated lead vocals with Robin Macy in a few live performances)
When Robin left the group later, Patty also joined her in a new trio called the Domestic Science Club, who released two albums.
