My favorite Axl speech, bar none:
Lol, Axl is amazing! I watched this so many times! One of my favorite speeches ever! We have to change our s**t now! lol. He is too amazing! I am glad he addressed those issues the way that he did! RS really made him out to be the bad guy.

Reading that Rolling Stones article always give me chills! His family life was really messed up! I feel so bad that he had to go through what he been through. So sad.

It's unfortunate that Stephanie + Axl didn't work out! Axl really loved her son! I feel that her son in a way helped Axl heal from the scars of his childhood.

Indeed. I think Axl really wanted a ready-made family after the catastrophe of the family he tried to start with Erin, and, honestly, I felt like he was more in love with the idea of having a son than with Stephanie herself.

    But I don't know. Speculation.

So guess who's on the same bill? Guns N' Roses and Slash.

    OMGZREUNION.

But yeah, they'll be playing, like, 24 hours apart, so by the time Slash hits the stage, Axl will be in, like, Russia or some crap.

I freaking love this speech. Whenever I need motivation, this is where I go:

Yeah, you can watch online. I've never watched an induction myself. The only one that would've been worth watching was the Pistols's induction, but they blew it off, calling it a piss stain...

So you can look forward to Nirvana's induction in 2014. They'll actually be a little young, like Guns N' Roses, since their release was after April of 1989.

Jess! While you're in this thread, whatcha think of this song?

I like all the comments, too. They just keep saying, "Appetite For Destruction is the perfect rock album." AFD may not contain any of my top 10 favorite GN'R songs (aside from Rocket Queen), but there's nothing more fun than listening to that album front to back.

I've just spent a freaking hour trying to find that video from Santiago, Chile 1992 of Civil War when Axl tosses his mic. I always find that part, but I can't find the uncut version where Axl starts insulting the audience instead of singing the, "We practice selective annihilation," part. -_-

I have this on DVD! Ah, yes, this is one of the reasons the UYI Tour had the best wardrobe ever. I don't care what people say: I love Axl's short-shorts.

Yes, me too. The comments were awesome! Except for one who has to bring up Chinese Democracy not being a perfect rock record.

Oh good luck with that. I remember seeing that video but I haven't seen the uncut version! That would be very interesting to see, xD.

It was really funny! I'll see if I can at least find the transcription.

When I was first getting into GN'R, I looked up "Civil War live" and was brought to that video. I was like, "Wow what the heck?" xD The first video of theirs I see is one where Axl gets in a fight with the audience. Absolutely fitting of Axl and Guns.

It is funny but quite sad when I watch the documentaries of Guns N' Roses. They keep saying how Guns N' Roses tours at that time where the most dangerous concert any fan could ever gone to because there were always violent bursts of some sort. I felt bad for Axl for going through the craziness of that time. I even remember them saying how the equipment on the tour were bad. Axl numerous times had to strained his voice in order for the audience to hear him.

"We came down to Santiago in front of bunch of stupid f*ckin' punks who wasted a lot of f*ckin' money and wasted our time to come to the show, they can now suck my d!ck."

ETA: I kinda blame Axl for his technical problems. He never went to soundcheck.

Yeah, that makes so much sense.

I just found this clip about the violent riot at one of the GUNS N' ROSES/METALLICA concert

    ^They got the year wrong.

Bumblefoot's solo makes this version of Catcher so freaking amazing.
