While requesting BA at Canadian country radio, I noticed that Eighteen Inches has been added to the request lists on several stations as well. So, perhaps while all of you are requesting BA at Canadian radio, you can click the box to request for Lauren as well.

Former American Idol runner-up Lauren Alaina has been placed on doctor-ordered vocal rest and has canceled her weekend concerts with Sugarland. Singer Vonda Shepard, who had a recurring role on the Ally McBeal television series, will fill the opening slot on Sugarland's shows Friday (Aug. 3) in Cincinnati and Saturday in Clarkston, Mich. "I am so sad that I have to miss this weekend's shows in Cincinnati and Detroit with Sugarland," Alaina said in a written statement. My doctor is putting me on vocal rest. I'm really sorry to disappoint the fans who were coming to see me and my friends Sugarland, who have helped me out on their tour. I will make it up to you and be back soon."

Lauren's voice needs a rest. I was watching some videos of her recent concerts last night, and her voice sounds wore out. I would hate for her to do permanent damage. She is still so young and has a long career ahead of her.
Lauren Alaina doesn't weigh herself anymore. She says she's lost more than 30 pounds since singing on American Idol last year.
She says she's been working out all the time and eating right.
Her manager told her it doesn't matter about the number on the scale, "just as long as you feel good in your clothes."

pleasantly surprised to hear 18 Inches on the radio yesterday. Great song and love the way Lauren sings it!
For those of you that are members of Nashville Country Club, their latest New Music survey has "Eighteen Inches" as one of the songs.

Eighteen Inches is at #42 on Mediabase.
She also mentions Carrie at 1:08 of the video.
I was hoping Lauren would tour with Carrie but with her voice issues I suspect that Carrie's tour schedule would be too much for her voice at this point in time. Maybe the next leg of the tour.
Why do the people at Pulse dislike Eighteen Inches? It's one of my favorites from the album, alongside Dirt Road Prayer and The Locket...
No, they're saying that this is one of the worst songs from the album. I don't get that. x) I agree with you, though. I'd like to have seen DRP, and I'll be a little sad if and when it doesn't get released (I can't see them releasing a fourth single).
I don't agree that it's one of the worst songs either. On the other hand I don't think it is strong enough to be a single. But Lauren is really struggling on country radio so anything the label can do to get her better airplay is fine in my books. I saw her sing this live and it was just ok.
I've seen live performances of it on YouTube... she doesn't sing it very well. Her voice sounds painful nowadays.
So how was she at Boots & Hearts?![]()
Her voice sounded so rough in the Boots & Hearts interview.. She really needs to stop and rest that voice before she really does something to it
