I wouldn’t be surprised if Miranda was talking about Taylor about winning awards – I’m sure Miranda found out about the look she gave after Miranda won FVOTY (Carrie is always happy for Miranda). For “Only Prettier,” I’m sure it’s not about Carrie – I truly believe they are good friends.

Yup, I don't think it's one big happy family, either. Just like in all aspects of life, you find people who you are comfortable around and who treat you well. It doesn't seem like Carrie has too many industry friends, but she clearly has a few... and that's all she needs, IMO.
^Because Carrie seems to hang around her close friends and not around other celebrities, it becomes very easy to make assumptions that people don't like her or are jealous of her.
I don't believe that Miranda is talking about Carrie at all. If Miranda truly did not like Carrie imo, she would not have done things like dueting with her at the Ottawa Capital Hoedown and she sure would not have hugged her the way she did when she first won vocalist at the ACMs.
In life we all try to get along with our co-workers even though we don't like them. Imao that's exactly what is happening here but it just seems on a bigger scale because it's amongst celebrities.

Not the show that that article was talking about, but this is Miranda's spiel before Only Prettier performance wherein she talked about Gaga (starts at 1:11). Anyway, I think it's favorite Gaga story that she uses as a transition to Only Prettier:
JB, you sound just like my dad does when he's trying to calm me when I'm livid. There I'd go ranting on and on and being illogical and unreasonable about something at work, and he'd reply in this calm, logical, reasonable manner lol. And I'd be angry at him because I want to be illogical and unreasonable.![]()
then who was Miranda talking about in Only Prettier that fit the description? lol Surely not Taylor, as she is 6 feet tall, not 5'3. lol
Kellie Pickler was in the video, so it wasn't her. lol She was also invited to Miranda's wedding.
Carrie and Taylor were not there.
Thank you thank you thank you. I have thought this for years. I think Carrie is just very polite when she says that, but I never believed it was a big happy family for one second.
Maybe Carrie is just so sweet she thinks the best of everyone, and sees the best in them. But there is definite jealousy and bitterness going on there among many people. That is clear.
ie- just look at Taylor's scowl when she loses to Miranda. lol Classic.
Miranda has done and said things in the past that I think speak to a genuine friendship between her and Carrie. I really hope she didn't write Only Prettier about Carrie. That would make me really sad and I'd lose a lot of respect for her if it were true. A big IF. I'm going to believe it's not true until there's proof.
But when you think about it, what other blondes in country music could she be talking about other than Carrie & Taylor? Those two are the only other blondes I can think of that she competes against for awards.
Ohhh okay. Well, she seems to like Taylor too based on some of her twitter comments. So I have no idea who she's talking about, then. Lol
Edit: Well in this interview Miranda says the total opposite about country music being a big family. Lol. http://t.co/NcrOciIU
Hopefully this is all some sort of misunderstanding? But it is hard to figure out who Miranda was talking about in Only Prettier then...
This is the part I am confused about too: she keeps saying this at every show now.
Apparently Miranda says this same Lady Gaga- Only Prettier speel every show as a transition to Only Prettier.
Why on earth would she do that every night to egg on the fan wars? In that video, you can hear the crowd getting all revv'd up when she admits that it is not all a happy family, and that Only Prettier is about the other blonde(s) that are her competition.
The crowd eats it up and loves the fanwars. It is like she is encouraging them to enjoy the fact that it is not a happy family. She is egging them on and letting them think the song is about either Carrie or Taylor.
That is something I do not agree with.
^^ That could help explain all the hatred toward Carrie lately, right? Interesting...
There are disagreements within families, there's no contradictory in it.
But hey, Carrie's worst opening doubles Miranda's best, and Carrie's worst selling album doubles "Revolution". I'm not sure if Carrie is her 'competition'! lol
Perhaps she was talking about...Kellie Pickler?
