"21" sold 730k copies on Soundscan. And another 700k + for her 3 singles alone. I think she could hit 900k globally this week, if not the magic million again.

Adele's numbers are just insane.
She deserves every bit of her success. "21" is the best album I heard in a long time, almost tied with Carrie's "Some Hearts".
And I bet there's Adele for a long time now. Her current single, "Set Fire To The Rain" is her best song IMO and just her 3rd single, and she already sold +7millon albums.
Her next single, "Rumor Has It", is already Gold and just with the help of a little airplay and a Glee cover, without and official adds date.
This girl is amazing. Love her.

Normally no...But every one copy they sold they earn a little more. And any further copy will have a little bit bigger returns.




"21" is spending yet another week on top globally, with nearly a million copies sold, per Mediatraffic.

"21" sold another 979k copies globally this past week, getting a record-extending 34th week at #1. Total now stands at 18.36 million copies and now at #81 on the all-time chart. This is its 56th week on chart and its second-biggest sales week so far. It will be the first album to be the #1 albums for two consecutive years. The #2 album for the year so far belongs to Coldplay which has only sold around 0.78 million copies thus far. Mediatraffic didn't offer a projection for the week next, but I'd say it could go as high as 500-600k copies next chart week, with the Brit Awards effect and the fact that she's projecting 300k copies in the US alone.

"19" reached a new peak at #4 with 131k copies sold, its 70th week on chart.

Yes, probably it will break the biggest opening record. The current record-holding is Flo Rida's "Right Round" discrediting Ke$ha at around 627k copies IIRC. I'm also thinking it could challenge some airplay-opening record. The current record-holding for Pop radio is Justin Bieber's "Boyfriend", which debuted #19 with lots of audience, position-wise I think it's Mariah Carey's "Dreamlover" at #12. For overall airplay, AI-wise I think Janet Jackson holds the record, but I forgot how huge that was. Madonna's "Erotica" was the only song to debut at #2 on Radio Song.

A preview of the new single of Adele for the 007's new film, Skyfall came out. I listened and thought simply wonderful, like everything she does. I anticipate another big hit and another No. 1 on Hot 100.
