July 10th Kellie Pickler, James Otto, and Julianne Hough concert
hey guys, sorry i'm late with this. i just got back. please DO NOT STEAL ANY OF MY PICTURES!
let's just say for starters and Julianne Hough, James Otto, and Kellie Pickler should tour all the time together! they were absolutely wonderful! together. i had such a great time. alright, enough babblin. here's my awesome review (with some unexpected surprises!!)
well. my grandma and i had decided to leave about 1:30 p.m. so we could meet my aunt and all carpool with her and my cousin and of course me and my grandma. we arrived at my aunt's house at 3:30 because we had to make some stops along the way before we got there. my aunt didn't get home until 4:30 and we didn't end up leaving her house until 5:00 and the gates opened at 5:30. we had arrived in lansing at the common grounds site about about 6:00 so we had plenty of time to find our seats and everything before the show started. we had received our seats and they weren't what we had expected, so we didn't even sit in them. we stood at the front of the stage the WHOLE time! it was great! Before the show I was lookin' for Kellie and I had spotted her bus and I was scolded at by a security guard, telling me that i couldn't go back there. I was like "well, i have a gift for Kellie and I would to give it to her personally." he said no and i walked away with my aunt and cousin and grandma. after that, we had walked down the sidewalk to get something to eat. i had a chicken taco and it was pretty good. at about 6:55, we all headed to the merchandise table and I ott "pre-autographed" pictures of Julianne Hough and James Otto since I already have a picture of Kellie. I bought those for $5 a piece and we headed back to the stage. Just as we were gettin back there, the guy had announced that Julianne Hough was going to be out in a few minutes to start off the show. I was really excited. and let me tell you! she's so gorgeous. she looked really adorable and i fell in love with her hair. She came out singing "About Life" and the other ones that she sang, in no particular order where: "That Song In My Head, Love Yourself, Jimmy Ray McGee, Hello, Dreaming Under The Same Moon (with her guitarist[i forgot his name]), You you you, Hide Your Matches, My Hallelujah Song, and Sheryl Crow's "Steve McQueen" (that was awesome!!). As she was finishing up about 7:40ish, she said that she would be over by the merchandise table signing autograhs so me and my cousin ran like crazy to go to the merchandise table and the line was already super long!! it was crazy. We stood in the same spot for 35 minutes and didn't move. then after they had to cut down the line, thank god my cousin and i stayed where we were, because they cut after 6 people after us (there was us, six people behind us and then they cut after that). well, another unexpected surprise was that i found Cortney (CortneyChristin) from this site and boy, i was all excited to see her! haha. we took a picture together and we started talkin. she's soo sweet! as we were standing in line waiting, James Otto was playing and I tried to get some pictures of him from where i was, but all i could get was some screen shots until after we had seen Julianne!! Here are some pictures of Julianne that I took. CLICK TO SEE MORE JULIANNE HOUGH
Here's the picture of me and Julianne
Here are some pictures of James Otto that I took while we were standing in line for the autograph signing of Julianne Hough.
James Otto, I can tell ya really know's how to interact with the crowd. He did such a wonderful job, I was very impressed. He sang, in no particular order, "Just Got Started Lovin' You, For You, Shake What God Gave Ya, Die and Dial, and a few others i'll post them when i can remember!i didn't go and see him after he had gotten off the stage because Kellie was going to be on in 15 minutes and I didn't want to loose my spot up in line to go get James Otto's autograph.
***
Now, finally onto Kellie!! haha.
The announcer guy was saying all this stuff about Kellie, like, introducing her and stuff and the band started playing the music to "Gotta Keep Moving" and before the announcer guys could say her name, she was on stage singing "Gotta Keep Moving". I was wavin' up my giraffe that I got her and she saw me and smiled and waved and she looked really excited to get it, so I got a security guys attention and he said that we would give it to her in just a minute and he never did and it just sat there and sat there kind of beside the stage. The songs she sang were, not in any particular order, "Gotta Keep Moving, One Of The Guys, Things That Never Cross A Man's Mind, I Wonder, Walking After Midnight, Rocks Instead of Rice, Don't You Know You're Beautiful, Small Town Girl, Stand By Your Man, 9 to 5, My Angel. After a few songs, there was a Marine Corp there and handed Kellie his hat and she had worn it for a while, i don't know if she had signed it or not, i couldn't see that. here is a picture of that.
and after she left the stage, people were chanting "play High Heels, play High Heels, play High Heels", etc. and she came back out and sang "Red High Heels". Right before Kellie had left the stage, she said that she would be over by the merchandise booth signing autographs, so as soon as she left the stage, we went over there and she wasn't there, so we tried to look by the busses, and they security guards at the posts wouldn't let me or my grandma go back and try and see if we can find Kellie or one of her band members to see if i could give Shortie to Kellie or to one of "her guys". so sad story, Kellie doesn't have Shortie, or the birthday card.
here are some pictures of Kellie.
As we were walking back to my aunt's car, we saw Julianne Hough's drummer and thought we could get his attention so i was jumping up and down on the sidewalk, waving Shortie around to try and get his attention. After about 5 minutes, he didn't see me and i gave up. So, right now, I'm one sad Pickle... Hopefully Kellie comes back to Michigan really soon and i can get tickets more ahead of time and see if i can get meet and greet tickets (which I didnt this time) and see if I can give it to her.
