^No i didn't but if it's still on Hulu I'll take your recommendation and try to watch it, lol.
OK I'm doing one.
1) The Favourite
2) First Man
3) Colette
4) Annihilation
5) Mary Poppins Returns
6) Widows
7) A Quiet Place
8) BlacKkKlansman
9) Crazy Rich Asians
10) Paddington 2
Mary Poppins Returns completely charmed me. I loved it. Will probably go see it again. I'll write more on it later.
^ oh now I kinda wanna see Colette haha
Saw Spider-Man into the spider verse! I’d probably put that at #3 on my list now.
I am so behind on award nominated movies. So many have not come to my local theater. Should have taken advantage of Christmas break but I did family time.
From what I’ve seen this year, the movies I loved were:
A Simple Favor
Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle
A Quiet Place
Solo: A Star Wars Story
Crazy Rich Asians
Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again
Guess I’m trending toward the lighter movies this year.
EDIT: Forgot "Mission: Impossible - Fallout"
I think the MI movies are the most consistent series of movies out there.

^Ooh I’m glad to hear you liked the Mamma Mia sequel!! I wanted to see that, it looked like so much fun lol.
Yeah freaking adored the sequel too. A little darker than the first but actually had a plot 🤣
^I had a big goofy smile on face throughout the whole movie! Lol It’s just a fun movie and, of course, the ABBA songs are great. I liked it better than the first one.
^ me too! I'm one of my only friends that liked it better than the first. I listen to both soundtracks but I def listen to the second one more.
Boy Erased- I don't know why this one is such a tough one to judge for me. Like.....I think i liked it.....It is a very tough subject. I think Supporting actress is so stacked that what happened at globes will happen at Oscars and Kidman will miss out. She does a solid performance but I don't think she overpowers anyone nominated in the globes, MAYBE Regina King. and thats a huge maybe. I think Hedges was very very good, very believable. But combine both globe categories for oscars I think he may miss out. Noms i think will be - Washington (Blackkklansman), Cooper (A Star is Born), Bale (Vice), Mortensen (Green Book), Malek (Bohemian Rhapsody). The only maybe for me is Malek, but I think voters are overcoming what a bad movie he was in and will still vote for his performance. I think Boy Erased may be a movie that gets pushed aside come final noms. I do feel like there was something missing in it but I'm not sure I can put my finger on it.
^I can’t believe I have yet to see Boy Erased! It didn’t come to my local theater and it’s just been hectic with the holidays. I think I will have to view it through a different kind of lense since I know the real people.
^ gah! I’m so interested in your thoughts! I was hoping you had seen it hahaha please be sure to let us know your opinions was you’ve seen it!

Beautiful Boy- This is one of the few movies this year that I went into it not knowing anything about plot. That was a heavy hitter. Overall the movie felt like 10 hours long. I remember checking to see how long I had left and I had only been watching for 20 minutes. Timothee Chalamet is playing in the supporting category for this one, this wasn't my favorite performance of his. I think he had moments where he made me believe he was a meth addict and then there were moments where I was less sure. Compared to who he's nominated against I guess I preferred him more than Sam Rockwell but less than Ali and Driver. Tierney comes through with the little she's given and I think if supporting actress wasn't so stacked this year shed have had a go at it but alas. The one who really knocked it out of the park for me was Carell. Im assuming they pushed him for Lead Actor in this one and I'm disappointed he's not going to get a nomination. So two of my favorite performances this year (includes Gosling) probably won't get nominations which is a bummer. Ill have to wait for final oscar noms to see who I would have replaced them with. Overall the movie was okay, I won't rush to watch it again, its very slow and I thought the editing at the beginning made it a bit hard to follow.
Ill post my globe predictions tomorrow once Ive had some sleeeeeep
