I feel like Metcalf has already won something this year. Either the Emmy or Tony. I'd look it up, but I'm feeling lazy.

Honestly, I'm yet to read a book that expressed the feelings of first love and longing the way that Call me by your name did. It's such a relatable story told with characters and a setting that may not be relatable for most people. Was it that it's told from a man's perspective that didn't interest you?

Okay confession time, the first time I even knew about Olivia de Havilland was through Feud (and I've only watched her in gone with the wind). There was another one?

I don't think so, I actually think it's possible I just read it during a time in my life that was too stressful, I wasn't enjoying reading it. Maybe I'll pick it back up on your recommendation!

    From Wikipedia
Olivia was the first to become an actress; when Fontaine tried to follow her lead, their mother, who allegedly favored Olivia, refused to let Joan use the family name. Subsequently, Fontaine had to invent a name, taking first Joan Burfield, and later Joan Fontaine. Biographer Charles Higham records that the sisters had an uneasy relationship from early childhood, when Olivia would rip up the clothes Joan had to wear as hand-me-downs, forcing Joan to sew them back together. A large part of the friction between the sisters allegedly stemmed from Fontaine's belief that Olivia was their mother's favorite child.
Their mother seems like a piece of work.
I hope your relationship with your sister is better Hannah

It'll be interesting to see how the acting categories will be cut down to 5 nominees each for the other awards.
For lead actor, Daniel Kaluuya will go out. Franco vs. Gyllenhaal for the last spot.
Chastain and Robbie will also probably have to fight it out in Actress.
Supporting actor seems packed except for Patrick Stewart.
If I were a betting guy, i wouldn't put money on Hong Chau. Tiffany Hadish won somewhere but I wouldn't count on her nomination either.

I just watched Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri. The movie overall was very good. I do take issue with the extreme amount of foul language. It almost ruined it for me, to be honest. Especially at the beginning. But once I got past that, I did enjoy the movie. It is a very hard movie to describe. It's definitely off-beat and, in some cases, pretty far-fetched. The characters are over-the-top to be certain. I was apprehensive in the beginning because I thought I was going to dislike every character, but they do grow on you. Frances McDormand is definitely a force and is pretty much guaranteed an Oscar nomination. Sam Rockwell could pull one off as well. To me, the movie started off kind of shaky, but picked up quickly and I was invested completely by the end.

Veep and Crazy ex-girlfriend shut out. I understand that the last season of Veep fell short of its own standards but come on, it can't get one nod over TBBT and Modern Family? Crazy ex-gf is one of the best tv shows airing right now. Rachel Bloom and the amazing Donna Lynn Champlin need some light shone on them.

Emilia Clark is nominated but Lena Headey is not. Susan Sarandon also missed.

^Hey, “The Big Bang Theory” is awesome! Lol

The show itself has never won Best Comedy Series at the Emmys or Globes. I think that’s a travesty as it will go down in history with I Love Lucy, Cheers, Seinfeld, Friends, etc as one of the greatest sitcoms of all-time. Hopefully they can pull a “Friends” and win in one of their later seasons. There is something to say for longevity. Sorry for my rant. Lol
