I keep hoping that somehow Sound of Music is eligible for the Golden Globes under "tv miniseries or move" category as it is 3 hours long, so that may be considered a miniseries.

I'm not sure but I don't think it'll be in the TV Movie/Miniseries categories. It's a live production so it seems to me it would go under the Variety, Music or Comedy Special category at the Emmys, and there's no category for that at the Globes so... yeah.

I haven't really seen any awards contenders this year yet but I'm so excited for some upcoming films. So. Excited. What movies are you guys looking forward to?

^ But it is a TV Movie/Miniseries in many respects. Not sure-- it is not done very often-- a live musical on tv. lol

^ I loved World War Z. Wish it was longer though- lol. I am thinking they are doing a sequel the way they left it at the end.

I was looking over the Emmy eligibility rules and I actually think you're right now, Tee. It states that in order to be classified as a Variety Special the program musn't have a complete story arc, which Sound of Music obviously does. Furthermore, shows like 30 Rock and Will & Grace have placed their live episodes in the Comedy categories without any problem, so I don't see why a live production should be ineligible in the TV Movie categories. I'm assuming the eligibility rules are similar with the Globes, but I'm not positive.

What network will it be on again?

NBC. Thanx for finding that! Hope it is eligible!

Of course- even if eligible- Carrie has to be good enough for a nomination, which will be tough-- but it is exciting to think about it as even a distant possibility. haha

^I'm trying to get tickets to a free screening to that one next week, baha. I'll report on my success/failure. I'm excited to see Octavia Spencer in a great post-Oscar role.

I really hope Leo DiCaprio is not snubbed again for Gatsby. I thought he was great in the role but oscars seem to snub him every year.

He won't get a nom for Gatsby. His best chance is with the upcoming Martin Scorsese movie.

Yay!!! Baha, I think it looks fantastic and can't wait to see it!

I've got my fingers crossed for The Wolf of Wall Street. That trailer was pretty awesome. I think I read somewhere, too, that the movie was going to be NC-17, which is interesting considering it's a Martin Scorsese studio film.

^ did you guys think Leo's performance in Gatsby was not worthy of a Globe or Oscar nom? Or just that they will snub him again. Tx.

I really did like him as Gatsby though.

But "SharkNado" for the win. haha Best picture of the year! haha Kidding! Freaking biggest cheese fest that you HAVE to watch for laughs. Classic! lol

Way way back and fruitville station. For the future, look for American hustle, Diana, and August Osage County. And because I'm obsessed with J LAW, look for catching fire and serena in the future as well
