As the result of the first round (April 22nd), two candidates advanced to the second round.
They are François Hollande (Socialist Party - Parti socialiste (PS), a centre-left political party)
and the incumbent president Nicolas Sarkozy (Union for a Popular Movement - Union pour un Mouvement Populaire (UMP), a centre-right political party)
This Sunday, French people are going to select their head of state for the next 5 years.
The President of the French Republic is also the Co-Prince of the Principality of Andorra.
People in the overseas departments and territories of France also have the right to vote
