Ugh! I was still expecting a new single by end of March. UMG sure missed their projection there, but suppose Carrie's injuries had something to do with that. I'm sure nobody expected TC to be so wildly successful -- they probably want that dust to settle and give ample time to generate more excitement for the first release from her album. Guess I'll just have to wait.
off topic but Sony lost another one- K. Chesney has moved to Warner.
This new guy is having a time.

That's pretty huge- losing both Carrie and Kenny in the same year. I wonder if Brad will be next? Interesting. Something is definitely going on there.
I hope we don't have to wait until June for the lead single. She should build off the buzz from The Champion-- and drop the new single for the ACMS.
I think new single at the end of February and then album in early May
You must be a mind reader,countrymusicfan15.A few weeks ago, jaks weyn asked me if I was to control Carrie’s schedule knowing the info that I had at the moment,I chose early May.Nobody had even thought to mention that time frame because I was guessing nobody had thrown May into the mix of a possible album release for her. That time frame just seems to fit because it’s not long after the ACMs happen & if she ended up debuting the new single there it would still be fresh in people’s minds &the buzz from that would be still be going strong that Capitol could build off of that buzz to release her new album in early May.The pieces just seem to fit with the timing of a new single by the end of February & then a new album release in early May.
I like how you think! Although I think maybe the release of the lead single will coincide with the ACMs, which are April 15th. Perhaps she can release the song on Friday, April 13th (video and single) and debut it at the ACMs? That would still give it a little while to climb the charts before an album release. Then she can perform it again at the Billboard Music Awards on May 20th and hopefully it will be a song that is country, but also appeals to her pop audience.
So, I guess I might take your prediction and push it back a month. Lead single mid-April at the ACMs, with an album in June. Perfect for hitting summer festivals and starting the tour in September!
"Thank you for that ‘Captain Obvious’ sense of humor because you know what, we not only hit the high notes, you forgot to mention we generally hit the ‘right’ notes as well."-Kelly Clarkson to Scott Borchetta about American Idol artistsThanks so much Danielle!
Not that past history will translate to the next album, but all of Carrie's regular albums have been released in late October to early/mid November... except for one. Blown Away was released on May 1st. So I'm guessing the album will be released in May. I'd like to see it on the 11th! Since that's the weekend of my birthday!!! It would be an awesome present!
My birthday is actually on the 13th. The 11th is the closest Friday to my birthday where the album release could occur. My mom's birthday is in May also. Popular month!
I wish Carrie were part of the Grammys this year. Oh well
hioefully next year will be her year.
I hope we hear something after the Supwrbowl about the new album. They are promoting The Champion now but perhaps she will perform on Idol this spring when it returns?
She’s getting more and more vocal in social media again so I expect some word shortly after the Super Bowl. Anyone else tired of the Patriots being there? Lol
Next year hope to see Jimmy G and the Niners there haha \OT
