Correct, I am hoping someone will say something, but she still has time to announce it and can wait all the way to that time to announce if she is going to sing.... Hopefully we will know if she will be performing once the next round of performers are mentioned... The anticipation is always the hardest and us Carrie fans are dying to hear from her....... So just those little tidbits from her is leading up to her or the label saying something near....

I loved the last comments, we're finally talking as we should. I hope it continues.

    PS: Happy birthday late Kizmet311.
Thank you! My hubby got me a birthday card that plays AAG, lol!

I guess until the ACMs are over, I am going to hold out hope that we get a surprise single announcement and debut at the ACMs and remain hopeful that we get a summer album release. I know that Donna listed some UMG artists' album release dates earlier, but when is Keith releasing his or does he even have a date set? With his last album I know he released 2 or 3 singles before releasing the album. I don't think Carrie will release that many, although 2 singles would be a possibility. It certainly didn't hurt Keith - Ripcord was a very successful album for him.

I would love it if Carrie has something up her sleeve besides just an album release, but I'm not going to get too excited about that one just yet. Hopefully "all the things" does include a tour announcement for this fall, though. I just hope that she goes back to allowing you to buy 2 of the big VIP package with the M&G. I know she allowed the purchase of two packages for the first leg of the ST tour, but didn't it drop to 1 for the second leg? I never understood that, because who wants to sit by themselves? I want so bad to buy 2 of the M&G packages for myself and my daughter since the Fan Club M&G scenario won't work for us since my daughter is 5 and can't join the OFC.

Also, I don't think the possibility of the Preds making the Stanley Cup finals will affect an album release schedule too much, even if she is thinking of releasing in June. She would probably schedule things pretty lightly around that time so that she could make most of the games and keep a week or two free for when the last week of the finals take place just in case the Preds make it. I do think August could be a good possibility for an album release as well and that's less than 5 months away, which isn't too bad. I would be ok with that as long as we got a couple singles before the album release and lots of fun promotional stuff. We will see how it all plays out!

Also, we have no idea what Carrie has been working on the last couple of months, other than being in the studio. She could have already done photo or video shoots and we might not have any clue about it, or she could be scheduled to do that stuff over the next couple of weeks. It might be good for her to have done a photo shoot for the single and just kind of let that out to the public before making her first live appearance. Then people could get all of their scrutiny and comments over with without her having to address it directly in a live interview or performance setting. If not, her first live appearance will be full of questions about how the fall did/didn't change her looks. Just putting a picture out there and letting it speak for itself might be the easiest, when she is ready for that.

Exactly. I do think (nosy) questions regarding her injury are going to overshow any interview until she has had time for media exposure via pictures or video.

I also think a fall tour is coming...

If she's performing at the ACMs her and her team still have time to announce that. They've only announced like 8 performers, they'll likely have between 15-20. She could still be announced. Still a month, that's enough time.

Funny how we always have to wait so long for Carrie to be announced. Guess they always save the best for last!!

My only thought about ACMs is the Red Carpet. I hope we see her before then. We know what the focus will be and I would much rather hear questions about her future plans than her past 4 months.

Me too! Not that I don't want to hear about how she has been doing the past few months, but I want her to talk about that when/if she is ready to talk about it and not be flooded with questions from the media about it. I hope she is able to clear the air before the ACMs (if she appears there) so the focus is on her new music or whatever else she is doing that night.

I would love for her to have a sit down interview with Oprah or Kathie Lee & Hoda. That way all of the questions can be asked in a respectful and kind way. I loved the last interview she and Mike did with Oprah.

Lol, thanks for expressing my thoughts better than I did. We all want to know whatever she wants to tell us about the past few months, but ditto your statement above.

She should have her own special show like her "All star holiday special" from 2009 and appear there for the first time, debut the lead single and some new songs and talk about what happened and let the ratings and sells blow up!! Lol

    That would be epic!

I know we would all want her to do a sit down interview but in all honesty,I just don’t see how that would even clear the air about Carrie’s injuries.I would think there would be more questions than answers for some people after watching an interview like that.I would think she would pray & use discretion on even thinking about doing an interview &if that would even be beneficial to do one.I just honestly think she wouldn’t want to do one if she didn’t feel it would benefit her career or her music in any way.If she did,I would think she would want to approve who did the interview & the questions asked during the interview so there wouldn’t be any surprises during the interview itself.

Kathie Lee and Hoda would be perfect. They love her and can be so cute and lighthearted, and respectful if discussing a serious topic. Hope she takes your advice.

I really don't know why she would need to do an interview just because she fell? I understand she'll be asked a lot of questions about the injury and stitches, but there's really nothing to clear up. She can say she fell, and was a bit self conscious, but beyond that I don't see that there's a huge story that deserves an entire interview for it. Maybe it's just me, though.

this plays hand in hand with that quote from Lindsey El about what Carrie told her...

Very relevant quote. And yes it makes sense. She likes to keep us guessing! haha

^I just feel like there is more to the fall from posts after and the blog. Like several post above, I feel like if she doesn't do a sit-down interview or even print interview there will be too many questions. The press blew up the stitches and fall story so there are a lot of people wondering. She will do what she feels comfortable doing though

Honestly-as long as Carrie is ok--- it doesn't matter to me if she ever does an interview about the Fall unless she wants to on her own terms someday. But I guess falling is so normal and common, that there really isn't all that much to say....We all fall. It happens. You heal and move on. I think she should just start fresh and talk about the music.

At this point-- I want to hear about her secret new projects she has been working on-- per her tweet- and of course the new music. The Fall is kind of Old News really- and it may be that she wants to put it in her past-- delete File.

And, it doesn't need to be a long interview. She can talk about new music, too. If she gives one interview about what happened, everyone will write about what she said in that interview, and it will satisfy a lot, though I'm sure, not all, of the media. She could even do a pre-taped segment, if she would rather not talk about it in front of an audience. Once the story is out, she can concentrate on talking about the music.

You’re not the only one who feels that she doesn’t need to do an interview just because she fell,Adam.Oddly enough,I feel the same way you do that she really doesn’t need to do an interview just because she fell & hurt her face.I just don’t feel it’s really necessary to do an interview for that reason.I just honestly don’t see the need or how it would benefit Carrie in the long run as far as her life & career go.For me,in some weird way,the interview is just to satisfy people’s sense of morbid curiosity. Its not going to stop people from speculating about how Carrie’s injuries happened & if they can find the scarring or not.She will probably be asked a lot of questions, she can say she fell and is a bit self conscious about how she looks&then she can just go from there.I would think the interview is honestly a waste of time if it’s going to create more questions than answers.I also think it doesn’t deserve an entire interview just because of that story. There really isn’t anything to clear up at this point for me either.I’m glad that I’m not the only one who’s thinking along those lines!!

I’m sorry, but I just don’t agree with you. There is really nothing for Carrie to clear up.If she ever wants to speak about in detail someday way down the road, she should do that on her own terms & her timetable.I honestly don’t think the interview would really clear up anybody’s questions,it would just create more questions that people want answered &we all know the media is never satisfied with just an interview, they will take anything said in the interview way out of context & try to create drama from something they thought she said in the interview but really never said in the first place. The media,I think, will not be satisfied with an interview like that.It just doesn’t work that way.For some people, this is just a way to satisfy people’s morbid curiosity about Carrie’s face & I think that’s the LAST thing Carrie would want.

^Nobody said she has to do an interview. For goodness sakes, we just want her to have a normal red carpet experience and give us the opportunity to hear about her music and plans for the era rather than watching everybody stick a microphone in her face and ask about the 40 stitches. It was an innocent suggestion.
