These silly men writers just don't seem to get it!!
Agree. They want a boring acoustic traditional country set. This concert is sooo much better than that.
^ there is nothing even remotely boring about an acoustic set, especially from an artist like Carrie.
However the notion that Carrie is any way overshadowed by ST's production is ludicrous. Truthfully I don't even pay attention to it all except peripherally.

Maybe he likes shows like George Strait (who just stands there with a guitar and doesn't have anything else going on around him).
I agree with your second statement. My son loved the whole show, he thought the production was very well done and he has been to a bunch of shows.
^ How can some artists get away with "just standing there"? First people complain about Carrie just standing there singing, and now her incredible tour is "too much". I feel like no matter what she does, it's never good enough for some people!
^whatever she does it will never be enough because you know ...Idol.
Some people will never let it go.
^ I don't know why after all these years, and seeing the BHC sing a long live probably 20-30 times, but it still give me a chill to her all those voices at the top of their lungs. #Dork Can't imagine how Carrie feels every night.

Over the years I have come to the conclusion that for whatever reason there are some critics that will never be satisfied with what she does. She could do everything that they wanted her to do and they would still complain. I wish it was because she got her start on Idol, but other people from idol aka Kelly and Adam do not get the criticism that she does. So the only other thing that I can think of is they are jealous of her success, or they just don't like her. Either way concert reviews are supposed to be impartial, so these critics need to start remembering that.

Review: Carrie Underwood: The Storyteller Tour
Carrie Underwood is a bona fide superstar, and if you didn’t know it before, you will after seeing her on her current tour, “Storyteller: Stories in the Round.” From the stage itself, to the outrageous effects, which included lights, lasers, smoke, and pyrotechnics, to Underwood’s fabulous outfits, every detail of the show was equally spectacular.
Underwood opened her show in Providence, RI at The Dunkin Donuts Center on Wednesday September 28th with an unforgettable performance of “Renegade Runaway,” before quickly moving into a mash-up of “Last Name,” and “Somethin’ Bad,” followed by “Undo It,” “Good Girl,” and one of her latest hit songs “Church Bells.” The star is never afraid to belt out a song, and the fact that she does so for a couple hours’ night after night is truly a testament to her powerhouse vocals, but she especially shone while performing “Church Bells,” before disappearing below the stage for one of the evenings multiple costume changes.
Throughout the show Underwood flawlessly delivered note-perfect versions of her biggest hits throughout the years, ranging from the swagger of classics such as “Before He Cheats,” and “Cowboy Casanova,” to the angelic balladry of records such as “Wasted,” and “Jesus Take the Wheel,” which remains a fan favorite over a decade after it’s release. About two-thirds of the way through her show, Underwood took the time to pay her respects to the country singers who came before her, first offering up a simple, stunning rendition of Dolly Parton’s “I Will Always Love You,” followed by the Nitty Gritty Band’s “Fishin’ in the Dark,” which she performed with her show openers, The Swon Brothers, and Easton Corbin.
The show came to an end after Underwood’s stunning performance of “Something in the Water,” where she stood center stage, as the lights created a purple waterfall, enveloping her in serene colors for a cool finish.
