This guy maybe a Taylor fan but he has gone beyond troll, he's cyberstalking Carrie Carrie, or at least engaging in cyberharassment.

Cyber Angels define Cyberstalking as : "Although no universally accepted definition exists, it is generally considered as use of the Internet, e-mail or other electronic communications device to stalk or harass a person. Stalking is defined as repeated harassing or threatening behavior. "

According to the The National Conference of State Legislatures: Cyberharassment differs from cyberstalking in that it is generally defined as not involving a credible threat. Cyberharassment usually pertains to threatening or harassing to the email messages, instant messages, or to blog entries or websites dedicated solely to tormenting an individual. Some states approach cyberharrassment by including language addressing electronic communications in general harassment statutes, while others have created stand-alone cyberharassment statutes.

A number of key factors have been identified:

False accusations. Many cyberstalkers try to damage the reputation of their victim and turn other people against them. They post false information about them on websites. They may set up their own websites, blogs or user pages for this purpose. They post allegations about the victim to newsgroups, chat rooms or other sites that allow public contributions, such as Wikipedia or Amazon.com. Yep, he's got that one covered

Attempts to gather information about the victim. Cyberstalkers may approach their victim's friends, family and work colleagues to obtain personal information. They may advertise for information on the Internet, or hire a private detective. Not sure about this one, since Carrie is an A-list celebrity it isn't hard to get info on her. He certainly researches Carrie, he follows all the posts about her

Monitoring their target's online activities and attempting to trace their IP address in an effort to gather more information about their victims. Not sure about IP addresses, but monitoring - Ah, you think.

Encouraging others to harass the victim. Many cyberstalkers try to involve third parties in the harassment. They may claim the victim has harmed the stalker or his/her family in some way, or may post the victim's name and telephone number in order to encourage others to join the pursuit. This guy tries to attract more people to hate Carrie. That's the whole point of multiple forum names. So he can have fictional conversions with himself to make it appear there are more posters who agree with him

False victimization. The cyberstalker will claim that the victim is harassing him/her. Bocij writes that this phenomenon has been noted in a number of well-known cases. In tis cae it's not so much Carrie as it is her fans. He's the victim of all of us crazies

Attacks on data and equipment. They may try to damage the victim's computer by sending viruses. Not this one that I know of.

Ordering goods and services. They order items or subscribe to magazines in the victim's name. These often involve subscriptions to pornography or ordering sex toys then having them delivered to the victim's workplace. Again not this one that I know of, but for all we know he could be sending Carrie creepy gifts.

Maybe we should take this approach when dealing with board monitors. They are a lot more sensitive to cyberstalking and harassment than just trolling. While Carrie is a superstar and thus posters are given more latitude in their hate, this guy is over the top. His bizarre behavior, the use of multiple accounts, the effort to create false conversions or posts to increase the appearance of more haters and his finding and posting on almost every article about Carrie, I don't see how you can say this guy is not obsessed with her, and in a bad way.

My oldest son, the attorney, is like you. A prodigious distributor of related information. Just a comparison because I detected some of the same word prowess in your posts. Very enlightening.
