Trouble With Security and Police Citizens Business Bank Arena Review

It was a very long day for me but it was worth it. I decided to go to the arena early hoping to meet
Carrie and give her a present. I got to the arena at 6:30 pm and the tour buses were already there parked next to the arena so I drove by and I went to Starbucks across the street to hangout and listen to my ipod. I took a nap until 9 am. At 9 am I went to the nearby gas station to fill up. then I went to Ontario Mills and it was still close so I went back to Kohls parking lot and also across the street from the arena. At 10 pm I went to target to hang out and one of my friend's at the fanclub Kaytie texted me and said she was excited about the concert. Then at 11 am I went back to Kohls parking lot and ate my lunch outside my car consisting of Quaker granola bars. At 12 pm I went to Ontario Mills to walk around and browse the stores. At 1 pm I went back to Kohls parking lot and took a nap in my car until 2:30 pm. At 3 pm I ate my lunch at Starbucks consisting of chicken salad. At 3:30 I walked around the arena and took pictures of the the tour buses here:

Then I walked around the tour buses and I finally saw Carrie's tour bus it was parked on a lower parking lot here:

I even saw Jamie talking on her cell phone here:

Then one of the security guys driving on a golf cart saw me and asked "Can I help you?" I said "No I'm good." Putting my camera in my leather jacket. Then I walked some more and the guy that saw me driving in a golf cart was with another security guy with and asked me "Are you in this concert tonight? I said "Yes" then he asked to see my ticket and he wrote down where I was sitting on a piece of a paper. Then I walked back to my car at Kohls parking lot and waited until 5 pm. At 5 om I drove to the arena and parked my car. then I saw a KFROG a bus and a tent where they are giving away free stuff like a KFROG t shirt, Lost Trailers CD, Rents tickets and other. In order to win one of the free stuff they need to find the queen of hearts. Then I thought to my self Carrie won't be going out of her tour bus because it's too cold and she doesn't want to get sick. So I just talked to the people that worked at the KFROG tent I even met one of the KFROG personalities and I took a picture with him by the KFROG bus here:

At 6:30 pm they were letting people inside the arena and when it came my turn to go in there were like may be 7 cops and one of them pull me away from the entrance on the arena and told me one of the security guys saw me put something in my jacket that looked like a weapon but it's actually my camera. I also saw a guy in suit I think he books Carrie's concert dates and he was really mad at me. Then the cops escorted me back to my car to put all my stuff in the trunk and they checked if I had any other weapons in my car and they checked the inside of my car and found nothing. One of the cops even asked for my personal information. After this whole ordeal was over the cops escorted me back to the arena and I apologize for what happened. So I went in and I looked for my seat and it was already 7 pm then. At 7:25 I saw my friends from the fanclub that I met outside the meet and greet area at Stagecoach Jenny, Katie and Paula and I said hello. At 7:30 pm LBT came on and they were great with their 45 minute set. They have great harmonies and I recognized some of their songs. Then at intermission at 8:30 I went to the restroom. At 9 pm The countdown for Carrie ended and the video of Carrie walking to the desert came on and everyone cheered including me of course. After the video Carrie came out wearing a black dress and black boots. Carrie sang FOTF and she was foot stomping and walked at the catwalk slapping hands. Then Wasted when Carrie said "Thanks for the warm welcome if you want to dance dance is you want o sing sing we love that." Then SH when Carrie walked to her band members Shawn and Mark and did her signature double jump after the first verse. Then AAG when Matt help the little girl named Candace to the stage. Carrie asked the little girl "What's your name? The little girl answered "Candace" Then Carrie asked "Do you know the words? Then Candace said "I don't know?" Then Carrie said "That's OK me neither you can just dance and say AAG when I put the mic to you mouth. " So Carrie sang AAG and Candace sang AAG when Carrie put the mic to her mouth it was the cutest thing ever. Then after the song Carrie gave Candace a hug. Then the show went on and Carrie went up the stairs and went down the trap door. While we were waiting for Carrie the screen showed a montage of Carrie's accomplishment in the three years. By the end of the montage it show Ryan Seacrest announce the winner of American Idol 2005 then the video went black and Carrie sang a little of IYH. Then Carrie sang IKYW and it really showcases her vocals holding the notes. Then JTTW when Carrie asked to audience to sing along towards the end of the song. Then IAICA when Carrie was singing it showed the video of Checotah Oklahoma. Towards the end of the song Carrie sang "Oh there's nothing like California." and everyone cheered. Then TMBIM before Carrie sang she said "I read about the guys I'm dating and they pair me up with these hot guys it's all good" and Carrie shaked her head. Then Carrie said if you are single like me and haven't found your special someone do what i did and get a dog." Then Carrie went back stage for another costume change. While were waiting for Carrie her had a little jam session. Then Carrie Carrie came you out wearing her white sparkly white dress, gray pants, black belt and thigh boots singing LN. Then the show went on and Carrie sang the first verse of GYOW and LBT came out and sang a duet with Carrie and it's the coolest thing ever. Then after this song Carrie sang JAD and told the audience about stories of people being touch by this song. then Carrie sang GOOTT. Then Carrie talked to the audience saying "I guys know how I got here and I've been lucky and doors opened up. Then Carrie sang Twisted, GOOTT. SS. After SS Carrie went down the trap door and returned wearing a black blazer sing PC. Then the last song BHC when Carrie asked the audience to singing along after the third verse. Towards the end of the song confetti came out and the audience cheered including. While everyone is leaving the arena I told my friends at the fanclub we are taking a group picture outside the arena here:

I only got a good picture of Carrie here:

I also met the mods at the fanclub Vinman and Kakarot

Great reveiw!! I hate to make lite of what had to be a trumatic experiance but the way you said it made it sound like it was just part of your concert experiance and no big deal!
You have lawyers all over america who are salivating reading this wanting you to sue!! And you tell it as if it was just a trip to the concession stand!! That was riveting reading Andrew thank god they didnt take you in for questioning then that really would of been bad you wouldve missed the concert!!!!!

Funny,I had a similar problem in Portland Maine and I'll give you credit your a die-hard fan,but after i got treated like that by her watch dog tour bus guard I was over it and went home.I wouldn't of apologized either you had nothing to be apologetic for if anything her security/police should of apologized and hooked you up to meet her for the harassment they put you through thats the very least they could of done. And thats what I'm saying Carrie CREW this is harassment and you could get sued if you dont watch out security does have rights but no rights what so ever to do what they did to him and myself they are not the police.Your security and the police legally and technically invaded his privacy by going to his car.WOW DUDE after that taste in my mouth i'd of thrown the ticket out. YOUR A DIE HARD...You need to find angelina jolies tattoo on her neck dude and should of called a state cop dude I would of right on your camera phone and i'd of snapped these clowns pictures for my attorney and sued for harassment.I can assure you if it ever happens to me again,I'd want it all over the tabloids. What gets me is we're the fans that make her.Your no John Lenon,Carrie and there is no fbi/government involved unlike Lenon. There was alot more to it than that anyway more than you'll ever know.It just gets me we're going to your show to have a good time and were fans and this is a downer and was enough for me to say bye bye you lost out.I spent my money on me that night/next day and these people are excited to see you no one would hurt you and your fans would jump in anyway ask the singer for Nickel Back.I know I would but thats me,but I live a more exciting life than most and fear is not my calling if anything fear fears me.Honestly who the hell do they think they are? The laws apply to everyone cops too but the police and security infringe upon peoples right who dont know their rights. Its like they got it in for certain people and in my opinion, i think the fame can go to their heads.Glad you liked the show I honestly left skipped buying a ticket and actually flicked the guy off and gave the sign Ronnie James Dio makes right after no wonder it was so cold out dude. What a turn off!!!

Ummmm, could you repeat that?!?

Andrew, I'm sorry your dealings with security was awful, but you sound like a trooper and I was glad you had a good concert experience anyway!!

You have a positive attitude, and I like that! Thanks for sharing!

Well, you can't say that it's Carrie's "crew." Alot of these security guards or police officers are just hired for that specific event from that location. The only advice I could have given him was when asked if he needed any help, he could have just said he was fine....just taking pictures. Maybe then that security guard would left it at that instead of thinking he had put a knife in his pocket.....but who knows. I'm sure security is tight w/ alot of singers not just Carrie....like they were for a Kiss concert I saw on tv where they wouldn't even let a crew member of his in b/c he didn't have the proper id on him. But I agree it is a drag, especially if you are just a fan there to have a good time.....but there are crazies out there too.....so you never know.

Well, Andrew I admire your attitude that you did not let this incident mire your concert experience. However, we don't really know what things are going on around Carrie that might be making them respond this way and again it may just be the security being overzealous. Glad after all the drama you had a good time.

Glad to see they are protecting our Carrie even if it seems a little extreme.

Remember John Lennon?

Jade is correct. All the people watching the busses, etc. are venue people, not Carrie people. Sometimes they're good, other times they are a bit overzealous, but in the end, they are just doing their job. Unfortanately, even in this day and age, many of these venues don't search people at all when they enter. So if they have any reason to be suspicious, it's better for Carrie that they are. In the end, they should have apologized to you and not vice versa, but you sound like you took it all in stride. Glad you didn't let it ruin your night!

Since I had never been there before I left my place at 5:00 pm just in case I lost my way or hit traffic. Wow I got there at 6:15 p.m. and felt I arrived a little too early. Isn't 9:00 am a little early to get to the arena?

I don't know about meet and greets. Maybe if you just happen to be walking around on your way to enter the arena and just happen to see the person there that is ok. I think ever since 9/11 everyone is a little more cautious as they should be. I just enjoy going to the concert and that is it. A good friend of mine works security at events like this and he told me that security especially the performers personal security doesn't take anything lightly. Its better to be safe than sorry. I think all involved were just doing their job.

Sorry about the guards, but Carrie needs to be protected, at least

Carrie Underwood was my first concert, so now I know what concerts are like.
Your story made me remember everything! The video of Chekotah was cute, and the concert I went to,
Carrie asked the girl what she did for halloween? and she said hannah montana, and carrie said me too! carrie is so pretty!! lol
she always said something about that she didn't like how girls are like omg he sweated on me (he as in brad paisley) and no one likes when a girl sweats, she's so modest, she's my role model!!! she has so many fans! but she's never going to meet me
