Preconcert:
Well, initially my brother's fiancee, Jerry, her sister, and I were suppose to go to the concert together but it didn't quite happen that way. It's a long story but basically, Jerry and her sister were going to go to the BOK center first to try to pick up their tickets early at around 3:00pm from our local radio station's booth. Jerry and her sister only had single tickets but wanted to sit w/ each other at the concert since Jerry promised their mother that she wouldn't let her sister sit by herself since she is still a teenager and it was a crowded place. Anyways, Jerry was going to exchange their tickets for tickets that were together as our local radio station offered to give them two tickets if they came by their booth that day since it was Jerry's sister's birthday. So around 2:30pm, Jerry went to pick her sister up and drove to BOK center to get the tickets. Jerry asked me to pick her daughter up from school at 3:30pm while they were over there at BOK. So around 3:30pm, I drove to her school and picked her up. Our plan was for me to pick up her daughter and then get some Popeyes chicken for dinner on the way back home and for Jerry and her sister to come back to eat dinner w/ me after they had gotten their tickets and for all of us to then go to the concert together. Anyways, while picking up some Popeyes chicken, I called Jerry to let her know that I had picked up her daughter from school and was on my way to get our dinner, but Jerry said that the radio station wouldn't be able to give them the tickets like they had hoped and instead that they had to wait until the radio station's booth was about to close around 5 or so as the radio station had to make sure the winners didn't show up to pick their tickets first before they could give her theirs. And so she was just going to hang out there and have her dad bring them some food while they waited. So I just ended up getting some Popeyes Chicken for my brother, dad, Jerry's daughter, my nephew, and myself and we eat at home. While eating at around 4:30pm, Jerry called from the BOK center and said that she and her sister got to meet Carrie and go to her sound check and that she got her to sign an autograph for me. I was sooo thrilled. Even though I wished I was there in person instead!!! I then asked her if she was able to get her tickets from the radio station but she said no that they were still waiting. Anyways, they finally got their tickets together from the radio later that day but the seats were way up top in like the 300 level.....lol. I thought they would get better seats than that from the radio station.....hahaha. I kept my floor seat though

. After eating dinner, I left my home at around 5:30pm and got to the BOK center at around 6:00pm to meet up w/ Jerry and her sister. We roamed around the arena and I got something to drink while they had some sushi (guess they were still hungry) and we then went to find our seats. I hanged out w/ them in their seats until about 15 mins before the concert started and then went down to my floor seat as I didn't want to stay way up that high....lol.
Concert:
LBT started and I really didn't recognize any of their songs until about the last two, Life in the Northern town and Boondocks. The crowd basically sat thru all of LBT's set until Boondocks came on and then everybody stood up for that song. I was able to record Life in the Northern town but then got told to stop recording by an older usher before I could get Boondocks. Overall LBT was good. But mainly people were there to see Carrie. After Carrie's countdown, the crowd started cheering and everybody was on their feet. It was pretty much like that thru out the whole show but sitting down here and there, especially on the slow songs. I won't go into the details about the songs since everybody here pretty much knows Carrie's song list but Carrie sounded great and her vocals crystal clear. I was hoping for a duet w/ LBT but that never happened. My favorite parts of the show was Carrie bringing her little girl cousin and her baby nephew on stage for AAG and TMBIM, even though they were shy and her baby nephew started crying on stage while Carrie was singing and holding him. Carrie even made a comment about making him cry....lol. I also loved when Carrie sang JAD and DFTRM. Carrie got a little emotional on DFTRM when singing the part about her dad and being his little girl. Paradise City and BHC were rockin' and everybody seemed to be really into those songs. Overall great show.
When Carrie started singing FOTF I believe, several people got out of their seats to go up to the catwalk. I too got out of mine and headed towards the stage but then we were cut off by a big security guy who waved us back and told us to get back to our seats. My seat was a little ways off so I just stuck in behind a guy and asked him if I could stand next to him while trying to get my shoot of Carrie w/ my camera. He asked me how old I was and I told him my age and then he said "Okay that would be fine". I guess he thought I was a teenager or something. Anyways, while I was recording FOTF, I could hear this same guy say "Man that's one good looking woman".......lol.....talking about Carrie. Anyways, everything was fine and I was able to record Carrie all the way up to AAG but then I believe half way thru AAG, the same Big security guy came up from behind me and put this hand on my camera and told me to stop recording.....so I had to put my camera away and was told I would have my camera confiscated if I kept on recording again. So I asked him if I could take pictures instead and he said that that was all I could do is take pictures. So I took a couple pictures even though they didn't turn out good at all....lol. It was a family member's camera and I wasn't familar how to use it and needed the flash to be on.....so all the pictures I took was dark. Anyways, since I couldn't record, I thanked the guy for letting me stand by him and I went back to my seat, where I continued to record but just much more discreetly/kept my camera down by my waist so as to not get my camera confiscated. So some of my video is shaky as I couldn't get a good view of it thru the lense. My camera's battery eventually died and so I didn't get all the songs but most. I was eventually able to find my spare battery in the dark and record the last two songs of Carrie's though. I'll post my videos tomorrow as I have to work late today and probably won't have time to. Anyways, even w/ the minor mishaps, overall I had a good time and enjoyed my first Carrie concert!!! Can't wait to see her again but next time, I think I'll just spend more time enjoying the show rather than worrying about trying to get camera footages....lol.
I was having fun though and singing along to Carrie's songs even though the lady next to me kept on looking at me weird cause I was singing along to almost all her songs

Carrie looked and sounded surreal and seemed to be enjoying herself on stage. So it was a great concert night.
