    Scott Macintyre gets engaged

    Scott MacIntyre, American Idol's Season 8 eighth-place finisher, recently got engaged. He and fiancée Christina Teich will make their first public appearance together this week at the American Idol Top 24 party at Hollywood's Roosevelt Hotel.

    The couple plans to marry later this year.
