American Idol’s Brooke White to judge Miss America pageant
Brooke White, who finished fifth on American Idol in the 2008 season, is among the judges for the 2010 Miss America pageant, the Miss America Organization announced Dec. 7.
White, 26, has since gone on tours and released an album, “High Hopes & Heartbreak” on June Baby Records, a label she owns with American Idol judge Randy Jackson.
Two singles were released from the album this year, “Hold up My Heart” and “Radio Radio.”
Miss America 2010 will be crowned Jan. 30 at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.
The TLC television network plans to broadcast the pageant live at 8 p.m. ET, with a tape-delayed broadcast for the West Coast at 8 p.m. PT.
