wow taylor, just admit ur pop. even shania, who was more country in the beginning of her career then taylor has ever been, admitted that her country roots were from the beginning only. at least taylor should have the decency like shania to admit it. i LOVE them both but they were pop, taylor swift WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY MORE than shania imo. never thot thered b the day where thered b a "country" star more pop than ms shania. congrats taylor. whoever said universal may end up buying taylor, i could def see that happening

Nope, Taylor is not country, but country music is not country anymore. More like 70's pop with a fiddle and steel to me (Eagles, CCR). But every generation has had a different type of country music. I bet Allan Jackson doesn't call it country, but 14 to 20 something age fans do. If you like Taylor, enjoy it and call her music country. If you don't, listen to Carrie. It's a great time to be a fan, something for everyone.
