Kellie says Taylor Swift is like the sister she never had. Although she does have a sister. "That sounds bad."

Kellie says the 1st song she ever learned was Hank Williams' My Bucket's Got a Hole in It."

Barefoot Kelie says: "I've got blisters. If you smell anything foul, it's them."

How @therealpickler got her record deal: She finished her 1st interview by telling Joe Galante, "Joe, give me a job. I need a job." He did.

Kellie Pickler impresses, cracks up Nashville industry audience

Did you know Kellie Pickler wrote most of the songs for her first album over the phone? Kellie revealed that and many other things -- like she sometimes writes fake titles on her set lists to keep her band amused -- during a six-song set Monday night at the Nashville offices of RCA Records.

Sitting on a stool wearing a beige dress and backed by three members of her road band, Kellie performed for members of Nashville's entertainment media and employees of her record label, taking more time to set up each number than it took to sing the songs themselves. She revealed that the same man inspired Best Days of Your Life, Rocks and Rice and Red High Heels ("Damn, I'm going to have to send him something!" she said). She also performed her new single, Didn't You Know How Much I Loved You (which she'd listed on her band's set list as Didn't Y'All A** Know), as well as a cover of the late Keith Whitley's Don't Close Your Eyes.

"I was such a huge Keith Whitley fan," Kellie said. "I'll never forget the first time I heard this song. You can only pray that you'll capture that kind of tear in your voice when you're singing a song like that. I think that's why I loved him so much, because you could really hear that."
