    Website and Server Issues Thread

    Hi guys and girls,

    I just wanted to make this new thread to report any server issues, or "forbidden errors" problems when accessing the site. I can also be reached at carriefanshelp AT gmail.com

    Hello Chris,

    Don't know where to post this, so I put it here.

    I would like to see the header of this website to be changed to the new album cover art. Would you be doing that or is there a webmaster to request this?

    Not Chris, but someone needs to design the header for him and then he can add it. I can't remember who did the GH header, but it was a member of CF.

    Also, to Chris - thank you so much for getting the kinks worked out on the website. I haven't received a server busy message in forever!

    Yes - really appreciated! The site didn't crash during the heavy traffic around the time of the announcement of the new song and video, and it's a pleasure to get to without trouble. Thanks for the extra bandwidth and smoother operation.

    Awesome! Yes, it was quite frustrating to all of us! Thanks for being so patient with me!

    And regarding the new website header, if we have any volunteers, I'd be happy to update it.

    Um sometimes when i try to visit this site i get redirected to a windstream search site, it doesn't happen often but when it does i have to type Carriefans.com several times before i get access to this site

    Windstream have been criticized for this problem. The redirection of some users to their site seems to have been due to some software at their end, which picked up errors in addresses users were looking for and redirected them to their own search site instead. This page may help explain what was happening:

    The company claim to have fixed the problem. If it is still happening to you, I'd suggest that, when you do manage to get to Carriefans, you bookmark the page, and use that to get back, rather than typing in the address (If you already had it bookmarked, when you next get to Carriefans, delete the old bookmark from your browser and create a new one)

    If that doesn't work, see if it also happens with another browser (or, if you're using Firefox, make sure it's updated to the newest version)

    If it still doesn't work, you may need to contact Windstream and ask what they advise

    I don't know if anyoe else is having this issue, but every day, at least once a day, this site completely freezes up on me. The only option I have is to reboot. I am using Firefox & nothing like it ever happens on any of the other sites I visit.

    Hmmm, I haven't had any problems on the site since Chris fixed it back in August/September. Maybe try a different browser?

    I'm having alot of problems. Once I do get in, I can't move from thread to thread. Also very slow. 'Like' works and then won't work. I know another person who has been here a long time is having problems too.

    Somehow I got in to post this this morning. Thanks for all your help Chris.

    ^I had that problem last week but finally, in proper light, I was able to see "Remember Me" when I logged in, checked that and have had no more problems. The white lettering in the header does not show very well on my pc so I forgot I had to do that in order to stay logged in when I leave the site.
