Carrie Underwood talks Two Black Cadillacs miniseries, announces UK tour dates

Following Carrie Underwood’s big announcement that her platinum hit ‘Two Black Cadillacs’ is set to be transformed into a mini-series, we quizzed the star on when we can expect to see her swap the mic for the director's chair.

“You know, it’s still… it’s not dead” she EXCLUSIVELY told us of the TV project at The Edition Hotel in London on September 22nd, revealing that changes at 21st Century Fox have delayed the production process. “As soon as we get a deal some head changes happen,” the superstar explained, “It’s not gone away, but it’s on pause. It’s still in the pipeline. We’ll see what happens. If it happens, that’s awesome.”

But despite the miniseries being put on the backburner for now, it sounds like the seven time Grammy winner has more than enough going on right now to keep her pretty busy, including being a mum to seventh month old Isaiah.

“It’s so much fun being here and playing,” she exclusively told us following her stellar Apple Music Festival performance in London earlier this week, admitting that she kept her latest UK visit intentionally shorter so she can get back to her son. “I didn’t want to bring him,” she said, “A seven month old, jet leg, and I’d have been, like, way tired.”

The country superstar also announced at last night’s press event that she’ll be returning to our shores, and heading to Ireland, in March 2016 as a return headliner for Country to Country festival in Glasgow, London and Dublin.

“Country to Country is delighted to welcome Carrie Underwood back to the event as headliner in our fourth year,” SJM concert promoter Chris York said in a statement. “Carrie helped establish the event in our first year and the creation of the biggest celebration of country music outside North America."

Carrie will be playing at Glasgow Clyde Auditorium on March 11th, London’s O2 Arena on March 12th and 3 Arena in Dublin on March 13th.

Carrie’s brand new album, ‘Storyteller,’ is set for release on October 23rd.
