She's so tiny and he looks like a pretty big boy. I'm not surprised.

Actually, I don't think there need be any concern about it being "too much information" - it's a well known surgical procedure which a significant number of mothers undergo, for good reasons. I'm rather glad she did feel able to share the news, since it gives more perspective to the period when she wasn't in the public eye, increases the admiration that's been expressed for her happy and healthy appearence in recent performances, and takes away most of what might have become a rather two-edged implcation in those haedlines about making a "come-back".

I'm glad everything sems to have gone so well.

Yes he was, you could tell from the pic she posted of him rolling in his hockey gear that he was a big baby, he was probably over 8 pounds.

She was already very large when we last saw her in December and she still had 2-1/2 months to go. Agree, 8+ lbs. wouldn't surprise me.

I have a friend with the same size difference of Mike and Carrie. Her four children were born via c-section because of their size (close to 9 lbs). They were not planned c-sections originally, but toward the end, the measurements of the baby and mom deemed the c-sections were in order. Based on that, I just 'assumed' that Carrie would end up having a c-section.

^Yeah, I agree Gator. During the interview Carrie does say she "ended up" having to get a C-section, plus we know she was asked previously whether she had gone to any of those breathing technique classes, so it's safe to assume the plan initially was to have Isaiah naturally. Then just how big the kid was going to be obviously weighed in so they had to go for a C-section instead. Definitely the safer option in cases like this, and I'm glad everything went as smooth as possible.
