Underwood donates guitar to benefit ailing drug dog - Muskogee Phoenix: Local News

Kevin Branscum said he was not prepared for the news that a donation from Carrie Underwood would help save his partner.
Branscum wants to talk with Underwood personally to express his gratitude.

“I just want to thank her,” the Checotah man said. “Everything caught me totally off guard. I’m grateful.”
Branscum and his German shepherd, Gino, have been a team since 2012.
Branscum is a K-9 narcotics investigation officer for the McIntosh County Sheriff’s Department, and Gino is his track, apprehension and narcotics detection dog.
What started as a simple surgery for Gino quickly turned into something more serious.
“We went to the vet to treat an ear hematoma Gino had,” Branscum said. “We scheduled surgery to drain the blood out. They were prepping for surgery and the plan was to put him to sleep and clean his teeth. Before putting him to sleep they had to do some blood work.”

I like that Carrie randomly donates money to certain places like the school and this fire department who need help. It can be very hard to get the money.
