Watch a teaser for @carrieunderwood's INTENSE new music video #LittleToyGuns http://shar.es/1bMdTo @ny4carrie
I figured we needed an official thread to discuss the LTG video! Teaser is epic! Reminds me of a fairy tale in the woods. I love the costumes and retro imagery.
I think the little girl is imagining she is in a fairy tale to escape the reality of the fighting. So cool!
And Madkatt said the little girl is Grace from Soound of Music Live!
I loved TBC and now LTG also directed by PR Brown is going to be epic. So excited!
Its so intense. I am excited to see the video. How does she continue to set a new standard with perfection? Carrie is incredible.
There's one line in the song that I don't get. "Throw away the scorecard" ????
^I think the "scorecard" refers to the "points" that each parent tries to get against the other in fights like these. So girl wants the them to just stop trying to win against the other.
do we know when carrie shot the video? and yes, it is Grace!! so excited and happy to see that carrie still keeps in touch with the SOML kids.
the teaser is brilliant and i can't wait to watch the entire music video. So excited for friday. We need to spread this as much as we can![]()
I love Grace , so glad she is in the video - if you watch her in SOM, she has wonderful expressions. This sounds like it will be a great video!
What do ya'll think is going on in the video when the little girl is in the forest with the guy with the beard? Is it a fantasy where the little girl become the "parents?"
Hey guys watch this cover! Its awesome!

^^ Great cover! Thanks for sharing!
^^ I totally agree. I think it's how the girl WISHES it would be. She wishes FANTASY were REALITY? But who is the guy in the beard?
When do you suppose we'll be able to purchase the video on ITunes? Do you think tonight?
I hadn't listened to SITW and LTG in a while, so I listened to them just now on the way to pick up lunch. SITW still gives me chills when it get to the Amazing Grace part and I really do think it is in the top tier of Carrie songs ever. However, after listening to LTG immediately after SITW, I think it has a chance to be Top 5 in her most impactful singles ever. The music and message are just so strong and it really looks like the video is going to be strong as well. I seriously almost teared up listening to the first verse just now, although I'm not sure why. Maybe I'm just emotional today, lol. So many people can relate to LTG, though. It doesn't have to be indicative of an abusive household - so many couples argue in front of their kids and don't think about the consequences - it isn't limited to a strictly abusive situation. I remember having an argument with my mom one morning before I left for work (she watches my daughter for me), and she was holding my daughter (who is now 2 1/2) and I was yelling at my mom and my daughter started crying. I felt horrible because I had scared her and I wasn't even yelling at her. I hate being yelled at and I try so hard not to yell at my mom or daughter, but sometimes emotions and frustration get pent up and come out in ways you wish they wouldn't. Anyway, I think LTG is a powerful song and a great way to "end" Decade #1.
