When Carrie Underwood opened her much-anticipated concert at the Rogers K-Rock Centre on Saturday, it was hard to believe she was playing to a crowd of only 5,600 people.
Opening the show with her hit Good Girl, it sounded like she was playing to a stadium four times its size with the roar of the crowd and the volume of those singing along with her. She emerged from backstage wearing an entrancing floor-length gown that still managed to show off her famously defined legs.
Kingston showed her a good time with a sold-out crowd of country fans from all across the area dressed in cowboy hats and plaid shirts. The theme of the concert took the life of her fourth studio album, Blown Away, with thematic backdrops and visuals of storm clouds, tornadoes and wind. The whole show incorporated this theme and it all fit together perfectly with the music.Source: Underwood electrifies audience | Local | Entertainment | The Kingston Whig-StandardShe could barely say anything without the crowd erupting in explosive cheer. She put on a magnificent show, and it’s easy to say this was one of the biggest, most well-regarded shows the area has seen, and will see for a long time. It’s safe to say that she blew Kingston away.
One pleased and very happy reviewer. Sounds like they really loved her!!!!!
She electrified the audience? Omg hope they are ok!! If not I know this was their TH and I will see them again....
Good review.
I was there, and the crowd was so explosive it was insane. She'd say half a word and the crowd would be yelling and jumping up and down!! And when she sang Before He Cheats... the crowd was amazing! Definitely a great place to be for her, hopefully she comes back![]()
Great review. I hope she goes back.
Awesome review, it was in the paper this morning. My only complaint - it was on the second page and Carrie deserves to be front page!!!![]()
