Country powerhouse Carrie Underwood was a big winner at the 40th Annual American Music Awards on November 18. In addition to nabbing the "Favorite Album - Country" award, Underwood debuted her brand new single "Two Black Cadillacs," off her award-winning platinum album Blown Away.
Prior to the engagement, the Oklahoma singer chatted with reporters about the show, the new song and her critically acclaimed 55-city Blown Away Tour. "I feel like the AMAs are really special because it's multi-genre, it's fan voted," Underwood confessed. "You wouldn't [otherwise] see people like me and Psy and Nicki Minaj and all these random people on the same stage together."
Speaking of fans, for the sixth year running, the night's winners were determined by artists' legions of fans taking to the polls. "It's giving all of our people that employ us, that keep us going that allow us to do what we do. It gives them a vote, gives them a say," Underwood commented.
