Awesome!! I didnt even know the UK had a country magazine! Nice!
Actually, we have two - the other (more Rootsy) one, "Maverick" has Roadhouse Queen Eve Selis on the cover of its current copy.
Home - Maverick
Eve tours here more - the problem is they only publish bi-monthly, but I'll be disappointed if they don't feature Carrie for a review at least.
Country Music People has a wider circulation, and probably hits more of Carrie's potential fan base. I'm very pleased with the cover photo - what I particularly like is that Carrie (still in her twenties) is featured with her name right above Kitty Wells (now in her nineties) and the original "Queen of Country Music". I'm taking that as as prophetric!![]()
What does the article say?
It's a lovely picture of Carrie. Wish I could read it!!![]()
GORGEOUS COVER!!! I want the picture without the texts!![]()

Fantastic.
Just in case there was any doubt about the impact of tv competitions, take a look at the career of Carrie Underwood. Since winning the fourth season of American Idol in 2005, she has become a multi-platinum selling recording artist, picked up 5 CMA awards, including Female Vocalist of the Year three times, eleven ACM awards, and five Grammies. There are others includes billboard music awards, and American music awards, and Underwood is the first female artist to win back to back ACM EOTY. Despite the ever growing trophy cabinet there are two of which she is most proud.
They recently gave us all this trophy thing for being on American Idol. They now give that to each winner so that one holds a special place, that's what started it all for me. I am a member of the Grande ole Opry, they also give you a statue to commemorate that, and that one is right up there with my American Idol little statue because that one is very important. That one doesn't ever go away. Someone new is always going to be EOTY, FVOTY the next year, but your in a club when you're in the Grand ole opry and it's a family, it's like the heart of country music is right there and people come every week to hear members and non members sing and it is something that I feel will always be around. It's like the Grand Ole Opry will be FOREVER
Oh wow! I had no idea this magazine existed. I'll see if I can find it & scan a copy![]()
I think I've seen this title here in Canada, (a local news shop usually has it sitting right next to cw in its "music" section) I have no Idea when I'd see the Carrie issue, maybe a month from after its regular date?
That's great! I love that Carrie is being featured in the UK press. I hope she does more promotion when she visits here this month. I've never heard of this publication. I'd like to buy a copy of this magazine. Thank you for posting, Ann055.![]()
