Martina McBride, Carrie Underwood Make Big Moves on Country Chart - The 615 | Billboard.com
Opening with Hot Shot Debut applause at No. 30, Carrie Underwood posts her third-highest career debut on Country Songs with "Good Girl," the lead single from her next album, due at retail May 1. With only four days of airplay during the Nielsen BDS tracking week, the new single draws 5.3 million impressions at 78 stations monitored for the chart. Underwood posted her best opening-week rank when "So Small" popped on at No. 20 in August 2007, and her second-best when "Cowboy Casanova" bowed at No. 26 in September 2009 -- both titles eventually reached No. 1. The Oklahoma native most recently topped the chart as Brad Paisley's duet partner on "Remind Me" last fall, and as a soloist on "Undo It" in August 2010. Her "Mama's Song" stopped at No. 2 in January 2011. With 108,000 downloads sold, "Good Girl" also bows atop Country Digital Songs, her second leader on that list. She spent seven weeks at No. 1 with "Undo It" two years ago.
notice how the numbers change, up until now it's been 3 days of airplay...this article says it's 4 days of airplay...you have to laugh at these discrepancies..![]()
