And it is clear he is not afraid to state his honest opinion - good or bad. He appears to be very open-minded about the music and simply states what he likes and what he doesn't. That is what you want in a reviewer. And a grade of A is rare enough that it means something when he actually give you an A is his review.
Agree. That's why I like reading reviews from this site.

Yes! I'm so happy that the response has been 99% positive. Congratulations Carrie. She never fails to deliver a great song. She said [it] was going to blow us away, and she was right!

Carrie does have an amazing voice. I love when Carrie sings a capella.

Actually they have been very nice to Carrie. They have reviewed all her singles since Wasted except for Temporary Home. And they reviewed her 3 American Idol tracks. All the reviews have been done by Kevin John Coyne except for Last Name which was reviewed by Leeann Ward. The best review was an A+ for I'll Stand By You. The worst is a B- for Cowboy Casanova.

For the singles not reviewed, Jesus Take The Wheel (#36) and Before He Cheats (#4) made their Greatest Singles Of The Decade list. Temporary Home was #34 of the Best Singles Of 2010.

    Here is the full list:

    Singles
    Wasted - A-
    So Small - B+
    All-American Girl - B+
    Last Name - B
    Just A Dream - A
    I Told You So (w/ Randy Travis) - A
    Cowboy Casanova - B-
    Undo It - A-
    Mama's Song - B
    Good Girl - A

    American Idol Tracks
    I'll Stand By You - A+
    Praying For Time - A
    Home Sweet Home - B+

"I feel like it's not about the accolades or the sales numbers or the, you know, awards or any of that. It's about helping people with their lives and making a difference that way."

Mike said that his power comes FROM ABOVE - like Carrie, he puts his FAITH IN CHRIST FIRST and has demonstrated his LOVE for GOD both, on and off the ice.

The EXAMPLES set by people, LIKE "Carrie Underwood" and "Mike Fisher" - the "Thomas Jefferson" and "James Madison" of "LIFE AND CAREER" - SET A HIGH STANDARD OF VALUES and performances. "What do we stand for and why do we exist?" - Carrie and Mike always ask, and they never change these, and then, they change everything else as the world around them changes. They are NOT FADS that WILL COME AND GO, BOOM-AND-BUST cycle of a LIFE. Both of them would contribute far more to "THEIR TEAM" BY GOING BACK TO BASICS. THEY BOTH ASPIRE to create something bigger and MORE LASTING - an ongoing career ROOTED IN A SET OF "TIMELESS CORE VALUES" - that they exist for A PURPOSE, BEYOND JUST MAKING MONEY!!!

    I think so!

I love that so many are recognizing how unique and creative the musicality of this song is. It takes you on a ride like great songs do.

My local DJ went to CRS and called from Nashville saying that Carrie's new song was AWESOME and made his partner play it right away! Looks like another radio mega-hit!!!

"Mike Fisher" pretty much had it made and still going strong, still improving TO GREATNESS, DESPITE HIS AGE. WHY? Because of his DISCIPLINE to NOT COMPROMISE HIS STANDARDS, for the *SAKE OF EXPEDIENCY*!!! LIKE "Carrie Underwood", in everything they do, they take THE LONG VIEW. ALWAYS!!! But, they seek to do very well in the short-term and very well in the long-term. THEY SEEK TO BE HIGHLY IDEALISTIC AND HIGHLY PROFITABLE, both at the same time. Mike once doubted ever coming back at one point because he is supposed to be getting better and he was not and then he got hurt again in 2003 - 2004 SEASON. Mike said in his book, "Defender Of Faith", DURING THE UNUSUAL AMOUNT OF TIME AT HOME, MIKE WAS HANGING OUT WITH GOD. Mike, as an EXPERIENCED VETERAN for twelve years and going to thirteen after this season, had a GUARANTEED CONTRACT, was well-liked by teammate and adored by FANS. He plays, NOW, for the Nashville Predators, was an alternate captain for the Ottawa Senators, *COMPETED IN THE "STANLEY CUP FINALS" (Almost got the Stanley Cup by Mike and the PREDATORS, but, everything happened for a reason.) And Mike has been nominated for the SELKE TROPHY as the best defensive forward in the league.

"Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher" is about building something that is WORTHY OF LASTING - about building a "LIFE AND CAREER" OF SUCH AN INTRINSIC EXCELLENCE that the WORLD AROUND THEM would lose something important if they CEASED TO EXIST - (From Mike's book, Defender Of Faith) When Nashville PREDATORS come up with the resources, and they wanted Mike Fisher, Mike was traded to Nashville. Known by the headline as "THE TRADE THAT SHOOK OTTAWA", THE NEWS RATTLED THE REGION. Mike was lauded as a FAN-FAVORITE and VALUED TEAMMATE. Just a COUPLE of weeks BEFORE THE TRADE, the GENERAL MANAGER himself predicted that NUMBER TWELVE (Mike) WAS IN "OTTAWA TO STAY". It is a bit of a shock to Mike and the hardest part for him is the "GOOD-BYES TO PEOPLE OF OTTAWA." To the community of Ottawa and broader fan base of the Ottawa Senators, Mike looked in the camera and said, "Thanks for eleven great years. I wish I could have done more. For me, it was so many great memories that I will never forget. Thank you so much." ...... IMPLICIT ON EVERY PAGE on Mike's life in Ottawa Senators is a SIMPLE QUESTION : WHY ON EARTH WOULD "Carrie and Mike" settle for creating SOMETHING MEDIOCRE THAT DOES LITTLE MORE THAN MAKE MONEY (Only FADS that will come and go, BOOM-AND-BUST CYCLE OF A CAREER.) - when "Carrie and Mike" CAN CREATE SOMETHING OUTSTANDING, that is WORTHY OF LASTING. And in the end, THOSE WHO ARE WORTHY OF LASTING, MAKE MORE MONEY ...... OVER THE LONG RUN!!!

LESSON from Carrie and Mike's "LIFE AND CAREER":

Taking aside their talent, guts, grit, "preserve their core ideology and stimulate change and progress DYNAMIC" - As for CHARISMATIC ATHLETE or CHARISMATIC ARTIST "MODEL", the world around us is heading in exactly the opposite direction. Just look at the world today, nearly the entire world HAS MOVED TOWARD DEMOCRACY. Democracy is A PROCESS. The ESSENCE of DEMOCRACY is TO AVOID OVERDEPENDENCE on any SINGLE LEADER, any SINGLE ATHLETE, any SINGLE ARTIST and put the PRIMARY FOCUS ON THE PROCESS. Yes, in business, POPULARITY is a TREASURE hard won in the music battlefields through "DEVELOPMENT AND MARKETING" - but, POPULARITY WILL EVENTUALLY DIE, NO MATTER HOW CHARISMATIC YOU ARE. HISTORY SPEAKS VOLUMES!!! EVEN Churchill - perhaps the single greatest leader of our country - was secondary to the nation and its processes. Hitler, Stalin, Mussolini, Tojo, etc. - these were ONCE CHARISMATIC PEOPLE, *who did not understand that they were fundamentally less important than the - *INSTITUTIONS THEY SERVED (THEIR ORGANIZATION)*. The FOCUS must be first and foremost on building the CHARACTERISTICS OF THE ORGANIZATION like CARRIE DID - Carrie BUILT, AN OUTSTANDING ORGANIZATION WITH GREAT PEOPLE AROUND HER - "TEAM CARRIE", "Carrie Underwood, Simon Fuller, Ann Edelblute, Mark Bright, CARRIE'S BAND and *Mike Fisher IS NOW INCLUDED*, *etc.*.

For "Carrie and Mike", it means working with a DEEP and ABIDING RESPECT for their organization as AN IMPORTANT INSTITUTION in its own right - an institution that requires the care and attention they give TO GOD and to their family. For it is through the POWER OF HUMAN ORGANIZATION - of individuals WORKING TOGETHER IN COMMON CAUSE - that the bulk of the world's best work gets done!!!
