Thumbs up 'The X Factor' USA: Drew praises former 'American Idol' Carrie Underwood

'The X Factor' USA: Drew praises former 'American Idol' star Carrie Underwood - National TV | Examiner.com

There's no question that "The X Factor" is working to blaze a new trail in the reality singing competition genre, but The Hollywood Reporter gave the remaining ten contestants on the show an opportunity to speak out about some of the acts on "American Idol" that they particularly love.

When it comes to teen star Drew Ryniewicz, she is in particular a fan of Carrie Underwood -- someone who is arguably the biggest reality contestant-turned superstar out there:

“She is boss. I've been to one of her concerts and she was amazing.”

I love Drew. She is so talented.

drew has been my fave from the beginning. But I am with LA Reid. Every song she sings sounds the same and its driving me nuts. Yah she sings them great, but even last night a more uptempo song would have been better.

    She is the Boss.
There is no doubt that no one has come along to dethrown her as the best representation of a successful Idol.

Isn't it great that "Our Girl" IS the standard for success? That is a high bar Carrie has set, and continues to raise.

I agree Carrie is boss ( and being old I'm not sure what it means but it appears to be good )

and I will say that Drew is very boring, every song she sings is done the same exact way.
I can't even imagine sitting through a concert or an entire cd.

Drew is great and frankly LA Reid doesnt understand music outside of the black genre. Just being honest here and pay attention to who he praises. All black people and anyone who sings black music. Yes there is such a thing as black music. See R&B, Hip Hop,etc

oh come on. drew's voice is amazing. give the girl credit and she is trying to be an artist. at 14 thats amazing. she just needs a little understanding that you have to diversify while still being true to yourself as an artist.

I get what you are saying Broker but that does not make LA's opinion irrelevant. He is still one of four judges on a show that represents a wide range of interests. remember Simon made it clear that he did not like country music. I mean "at all". but he was still able to recognize talent.
I think LA's problem is not that he is incapable of recognizing talent in a 14 year old. I think his problem is that he is on a flowndering show. and he and the others are all trying to find interesting things to say about a show that is completely uninteresting.

Read again what i wrote. When Bieber first started he was very white chocolate also LA Reid was CEO of Def Jam, which is not exactly white or white friendly. It would be like a white person being spokesperson for BET or the NAACP. Look at LA Reid's backround with country, rock or alternative rock-----aka white music. The backround is non existant or very close to it.

Thanks for deleting those comments. There is another one up the page a bit that I believe needs to be deleted as well. This is a CF board and those kinds of comments have no business being on here.

We really don't need these kinds of comments on this board in my opinion. You could very easily find somewhere else to post this kind of thing if you so choose.
