Kids are so observant, it is amazing. I have 10 grandchildren, 7 of which are under age 10, and they have noticed various behaviors from TS. What lost them from worshipping her -- "Mean". They told me that name calling is not allowed, and she does it in her song; therefore, she's the one being "mean" and they don't want to listen to her anymore. They also told me she "doesn't sing good". The 3 older kids have long moved on to other artists, i.e. Selena and Katy Perry. They adore Carrie and Rascal Flatts, too. TS has to realize that a lot of the kids idolize her and she should be more aware of her behavior so she can set a good example for them all of the time.

Your grandchildren are smart, they know even at a young age when a certain behavior, like name-calling, is not acceptable. This is why I have a problem accepting "Mean" as an empowerment song for the bullied.

Do you realize that you can be a grandparent and only be around 40 years old. That means you could be a grandparent half of your life. I have a picture of my brother who is a great grandparent.

This just proves that Carrie has a following of varied ages. She is great for everyone. TS pretty much has the young ones, 6, , 7 , 8 years olds up to teens. I think older people(older than teens) can spot good and bad singing, and aren't going to waste their time listening to it if it is bad.
