'American Idol' seeks a star in St. Louis
The last time "American Idol" held auditions in St. Louis, back in 2004, an unknown blond singer named
Carrie Underwood from Oklahoma unassumingly tried out. By the time it was all over, she walked away the most successful "Idol" in history.
In addition to Underwood, that St. Louis audition also unearthed top 10 contestant Nikko Smith and top 20 contestant Aloha Mi'Sho (then Mischeaux), not to mention a number of aspiring singers who came out of nowhere.
This week, "American Idol" returns to St. Louis in hopes of finding its next superstar. Auditions are all day Tuesday at Scottrade Center, with preregistration for wristbands taking place Sunday to Tuesday.
